In my dumb way of thinking, it would appear that the fluid capacity would be increased by the volume of the filter, itself, too, with that set up.

Have noticed that most of the high end hydro set ups utilize filters, which makes sense.

All of this is part of planning hydro assist, so capacity is the concern. Like that set up, for sure, since it seems to address, but how are you mounting?

My estimates put it at two quarts but it could be a little more simply by going with the Toyota tall filter. I had a bracket modeled after the stock Toyota one (uses the same oil filter as the engine). Eventually when I get this project, I will just have the bracket welded onto this reservoir.

Any merit to the filter flow exacerbating cavitation?

I have zero data other than the installation to non-Toyota vehicles. Is cavitation a concern? to be honest I've never real read anything on mud pertaining to the issue. But I suppose anytime you jump from high to low pressures there's always the chance. I don't know enough about hydraulics to really entertain and guess though.

Is cavitation a concern?

With the implementation of hydro assist, yes.

Not a lot of options for replacing the OE pump, nor is there feasible means to increase flow.

All I can see to improve on, within the confines, is additional fluid capacity and fluid cooling. Larger resi with a larger, more efficient cooler ( that's not begging to be punctured like my current one is ) is the intention. Filtering hasn't been, but does make sense, and most PSC kits have, in some form or fashion.

This is odd.

Have mentally complained about the lack of an audible beep, when arming/disarming factory alarm..... even though I have to be two feet away to use remote.

It started beeping yesterday.

Funny you should mention that. When I bought my 80, the beep was there. It went away a couple months later only to appear out of nowhere a few months after that. Last week, it stopped again. No clue as to why this is happening.

I know this makes no sense...have you changed the remote battery? I have vague recollection of this happening when my daughters were driving it, fresh batteries fixed it, kind of.

Ours was very random, now that I'm driving it, I'll pay more attention to see if it comes back...

I pulled all the MSD and got the HEI installed this weekend. Running great now, door is fixed, trailer fixed, everything is green on my end for the first time in a while.

I'm hoping to have gearbox swapped and new wheel studs in, today/tomorrow. Then, she's mildly wheelable.

Have an FJC sitting in driveway, that I promised to install SAW kit on last winter. It may slow things down, since I may be rusty on FJC lift kit installs.
