I'm really close to pulling the trigger on the Slinky's as well but I'm waiting for the 75mm Stage 4 to come back into stock. It seems like all of the upgrades I want to do are in a holding pattern due to inventory levels.
I called and spoke to Erin at Mill Creek Overland and she explained that they just got a shipment last Friday, inventoried over the weekend and put on the website yesterday. I asked specifically about the Stage 4 and she was not confident if or when they might get those. So I went with the Stage 1 because when I looked yesterday, their stock reduced by two kits in less than 10 hours. Not trying to give you FOMO but I certainly had it.
Looks like they have 4 each of the HD and intermediate kits remaining.

For what its worth. I have a set of intermediate 75mm rear Slinky's that are almost brand new. If someone is looking for those I'd like to get rid of them. I ended up swapping to the heavy spring rate after adding a rear bumper, sliders, and tire carrier.

Does anyone have any gouge on where we are with Slinky availability in the US? I want Stage 4 or 5 or whatever is available. MillCreek Overland is out of stock on all 80 series kits.

I would not recommend getting anything Slinky. There is no product support and can't get them to respond. Sent multiple emails trying to get a set of rear heavy springs and nothing. Pretty frustrating since I spend 5k on their product.

What happened to your set up? I heard about suspension failures being taken care of through Icon.

What happened to yours and what did you try to do to resolve the issue?

I’m selling the same in green paint.

Lots of other options these days

When I was searching I talked to Mill Creek and the mentioned the only thing they keep on hand is the heavies due to the fact so many reach out the step up from the medium. Just a thought if you haven't reached out the them direct. Not sure what happened since but I imagine he would push out without warranty if any in stock still just to sell out their on hand stock if they went a different direction.

I'd also recommend steering clear of slinky stuff. I tried ordering some things from them a while back and never got them. Went a few rounds with the vendor and another vendor that turned into a big pointing match. I did finally get my money back, but it was a hassle.

I contacted them and he only had the extra heavies.
I read your post wrong last night. Your issue was you couldn’t get a set? Or you bought medium springs and couldn’t source heavy ones?

That aren't overrated like Slinky's
Have you installed slinky’s on your rig before?

I have the slinky stage 1 with heavy springs and I love it. I can only compare to a 27 year old suspension that I replaced it with but I love the way it rides on and off road. I don’t think they’re overrated at all. Price-point is competitive with the other brands too. It’s just difficult to get.

People have been s***ting allover slinky lately and from a customer service perspective I tend to agree. I have experience with a few different sets of OME springs, Dobinsons, Icon and now I have slinky's in the rear. From an on-road perspective they have been the best feel I have had. OME (especially J-springs) are very jarring and the Dobinson progressive I had were the exact opposite - think floaty 1970's Cadillac...they were my least favorite. Off-road on corrugated roads, my current set-up has also been the best. I can't speak for serious rock-crawling, but on moderate obstacles the reality is there is very little difference really between any of them.

Yes I have, Only in the front to me they were comparable to the OME that they replaced except they bowed more and rubbed on the spring buckets even after I trimmed the buckets back to the frame.
I am now run Dobinsons dual rate springs and I like them better then the Slinkys and they don't rub on the frame.
I also know there a lot of people that like them 🤷‍♂️ ;)

Good feedback, based on my research I am leaning toward Dobinsons (powder coat is mandatory to something that screams more testosterone) or the Slee 4”. You’re probably right about moderate off-roading performance.

I figured you have based on your experience on these rigs. Are your dobinson springs relatively stiff? No sagging with all your armor?

I think Slinky Has done that to themselves, the first time that I heard of them was when My good friend ordered and payed for a complete stage1 kit and waited months to get it, he kept getting the song and dance. He did eventually get the kit.
That was over five years ago and it's still the same today 🤷‍♂️

Definitely. On the US side they've been passed around to more vendors than the village bicycle.

No actually the Slinky's were stiffer. To me the Dobinson's have a smother ride on the road and better flex/ articulation off road/ crawling keeping the tires on the ground and I don't lift tires as much as my friends that are running Slinky's
They did excel in high speed dirt road kind of driving with less bottoming in the big whoop. but that's not the kind of driving I like ;)
To be honest My reg is lighter then most built 80.
I am actually getting more lift then advertised.
