80 Series Aftermarket Gauge Choices & Mounting Options

EDIT: THIS IS AVAILABLE NOW, see details here: Is anybody still interested in a center console?

This option will be hitting the market very soon as well. The big hole in top will have replaceable faceplates you can customize or we will have a bunch of options from the get go (gauges, switches, etc).

This is (maybe) obviously the shifter console (to go with our soon to be released center console), so putting gauges down there is more of a "once it's tuned" thing and a "hmmmm, something seems fishy" thing, than an "I have to keep my eyes on this gauge" kind of thing. Which is what a properly setup system should be anyway.

This piece will fit both the 91-94 and 95-97 dashes, so all good there.

Im liking the bottom corner of the windshield. Have you powered it up yet? Is it tough to read?

Haven’t put power to it yet.
I spent yesterday installing 1.5” spring spacers to the front of my rig.
I’m going to go see how easy it will be to apply power to it temporarily.

How big is the sensor sending unit? (the black box that everything runs to). i'm wondering about placement of that as well.

I would post the PDF, of the complete instructions, but it will not allow me. States it’s too big. 😳😉
10.4 MB. 61 pages.

I honestly wonder if they're the same gauge with different stickers on it. Wonder about the sensor quality versus the justraceparts version too based on your issue with two of them right off the bat. Did that include wideband? Looking through a few of the options for the defi knockoffs on aliexpress i can't find a wideband sensor included option. Doesn't seem like you can just hook it up without an adapter cable from the sniffer either.

One thing I think about is sharp corners and if the plan will be to round those down.

I am curious too.

I bought the Just Race Parts display that looks almost exactly the same. I looked over the display & control box, no marking of where it’s made.

JRP offers a wideband Bosch 4.9 sensor to read AFR’s, but it’s made by 14point7 Spartan. Appears to be a Canadian company.

Right. I was looking into that and you can buy it direct from 14point7 for 140 bucks or something.
That + $90 defi zd clone and seems like it can do the same thing for a lot less $$. Trying to find what other options for hooking up the wideband there are.
The JRP kit is still a great deal for what you get I just am shopping around but need to pull the trigger on something so it's here before the turbo.

Cool design! Kinda a more refined approach than mine... I didn't do gauges down there, but it was a very convinent place for all my accessory switches and it only took me one day to build.

This is very interesting. Is this going to be made avaliable for manuals as well?

There are certainly some interest in that (from you fine folks), and we are are certainly interested in making something that would work. We kind of need access to those rigs though, in order to make it work properly. And the other issue is there are a few different setups (conversion/swaps, OEM, etc). The original thought was to make the top “plate” removable, but there just really isn’t enough room to make that viable and still fit across years. So it’ll probably just have to be a separate base piece.

Just received this 2 in 1 gauge (AFR/Boost), didn't feel the need for more info than this. Still can't figure where to put it. Maybe on top of steering clamshell. An insert where the factory clock is, might be a option. Has any one done that I'd like to see a pic. Thx

I would gladly give you access to my rig, but it's kind of a long drive from Norway to Idaho.
Just let me know if you are interested in some measurements. I have an OEM manual '94 with VX interior.

Ok, I attached the instructions for the Spartan Wide Band O2 sensor (AFR sensor). It’s only 1 page.

The 14in1 guage & sensor document is 61 pages. It said the PDF was too large to upload. It’s 442 kB.
Anyone know how to link it?

Snippet from instructions. Joey, does it look like your down pipe O2 bung will be compatible?
“The Lambda Sensor should be installed between the 10 o’clock and the 2 o’clock position, less than 60 degrees from vertical, this will allow gravity to remove water condensation from the sensor.”

I don’t see an issue 🤔
