Costs are coming in but they are about 50-100 more than i was planning. still waiting for a few more quotes to come in.. i will see what i can do to bring the cost down design wise.

I can reduce the cost by reducing the forming time, I can do this by removing the bottom flange on the brackets does anyone not like that idea?

the flanges circled in red would leave. I will check to see what the cost difference would be, it may not be worth it..

I would agree with Wasnt me in post 164 on eliminating the flange on the outrigger bracket. You might also consider thinner material. 3/8" is probably overkill for some of the brackets. You could also give buyers a choice of shell thickness. As some of the rear shell is partially cosmetic (the rear frame member stays intact), 10 gauge (.135") is probably suitable for the expedition crowd. The lighter weight would also cut down on shipping.

Looking forward to the final verdict!

Price difference in not enough to make a difference in my opinion.. $4 on one part and 2 on the other totaling $12 per kit.

Yea wouldn't imagine material is going to make much difference unless you look at lighter gauge or perhaps check seconds at distribution center.....I sell a great deal of Carbon plate/sheet both bare and galvanized. Prime bare A36 roughly 39/cwt and galvanized A1088 45/cwt. dumping a bunch of light gauge 14-22 for 25/cwt

I may have missed it, but what steel is being spec'ed?

A-36, cold rolled 1018, other?

Any updates?

Great news! I just sold my 60 today and have a pocketful of money. Can we clarify the kit one last time? How many swingouts, if any? Post up a pic of the prototype that best represents the final product?

Please pardon me, I have been drinking beer at Hooters since 11:00am.

The Kit Includes:

8 bracket pieces
-2 for the rear of the frame, one each side
-6 to support the wings, 3 each side
-- 2 weld together to make the brace one welds to the bumper.- per side

7 pieces for the bumper shell
-2 wing caps, one per side this is at the wheel well end
-2 corner caps
-2 wings, Right & left side
-1 main bumper

**No swing out included in the kit.** there are knock outs where a spindle can be welded in for swing out of your own design. the hole is 1.75" in diameter.

4x4 labs swing out kits could probably be used, their Spindlea are 1.75 Diameter.

Feel like this belongs in the marketplace idk

Count me in - shipped to Houston, Texas. Hopefully others in the area will still be interested and can possibly ship several on one pallet to economize the shipping.
