Got accepted into the San Marino Motor Classic 46-84 Japanese Car category! From what I know, it’s like the pebble beach/concours of the Los Angeles area. I plan on tackling the headliner project before the show August 25.

Aside from that, we camped out in Lake Tahoe for the first time and it was epic. Getting ready for another trip to Shaver Lake in 2 weeks, which will be more of an offroading trip rather than hiking/sight seeing.

That is great. What headliner you using?

Maybe I saw you and didn’t know it. Been in Tahoe hiking when not working and in Sac now to head home Friday
I was thinking of going with ccot since it has a really thick padding. We camped at Meek's Bay on the southwest side of the lake and drove up one day to the northside for the clear kayak tour. It seemed like beach access is tough to find but we got lucky our campsite had a private beach area.

A small signature on all my cars is stainless arp 12pt hardware and black beauty washers. Ordered these a while ago but they messed up and took forever to come in. Now, I’m happy with the winch install and can focus on mounting the power switch with this bracket I’m retrofitting from a Tacoma.

Been fun watching your build, great job! The foam on my headliner is separating from the vinyl, I’ve re-glued a few times as a bandaid but ultimately need to remove the cap and replace. The CCOT option with double thick foam looks nice. Please let us know what adhesive you use and how it goes!

Awesome - intersted to see how this goes!

Will do! Should have it done by the end of the week. Here is a side by side comparison of the factory headliner vs ccot perforations.

I’m glad you all enjoyed the pics as much as we did! I’m working on a photo album of those and all of the pics I took mechanically restoring it.

Taking care of some more small details before the San Marino Classic in a few weeks. Had flashbacks of the door seal process 😂
