You are making this thing really nice! The stripes on it are so cool!

Gotta plug those old holes for the aux fuel valve, and track down some jack handles for the tool kit.

There has been some oil in the air filter after a long drive. So I fabbed up a bracket and installed a catch can. It’s a rough mock up but I will be painting the bracket black.

I know it’s from blowby but it drives fine for now and I’m not ready to rebuild the motor.

I’m not sure if anyone ever noticed the damage on the front bezel. The story is there was a 2x4 that flew up on the freeway and bashed the bezel / hood while my father in law was driving.

I figured I’d give it a shot to restore while it was off for the detailing job. Finally time to put my autobody skills from my classes in high school to work lol.

After using a hammer and dolly to get it back into shape I primed, guide coated and block sanded the bezel to show the low spots.

A few skim coats of body filler, glazing putty and 3 coats of primer. It was time to wet sand and prep for paint.

Here it is after 3 coats of Cygnus white ppg spray can from cruiser corps. Overall I’m happy with it, and it beats ordering an aftermarket bezel!

Next up, is getting the hood dents removed by a paintless dent tech.

This is what I came up with for the fire extinguisher location. Bought some aluminum angle stock and used the seat bolt threads to mount it underneath.

I’ll have to take it out along with the catch can bracket to paint them with some steelit.

Treated the new door seals to some shin-etsu grease. Had some left over from using it on my s2000 soft top seals and decided to give it a shot on the 40.

Apply thoroughly by hand, allow to soak, buff off and final wipe with a fresh towel.

Got the FJ40 & Tacoma rendered to print some stickers for the Toyotafest show next month.

The sticker quality was pretty crappy so I’ll have to use another company on the second go around, but these will do for freebies to people lol.

Did we see the @OPMACHINE bumper installed? I’m not quite ready to install mine so I’m jonesing to see one.
I’ve been waiting patiently since Jan for it to land. So I went ahead and had the guy render it on for me lol

Took two weeks and 66 hours of labor to soundproof the cab on the Tacoma. While it was apart I installed an amp to power the door speakers at 100w and 2 8” subs at 300w.

Taking a break before doing the same to the doors, but so far it’s definitely noticeable!

Also got word that my op machine bumper is being shipped. Can’t wait to get that on the 40 and mount up the winch!
