If you reverse the wiring can you get it to suck vs blow?

It’s my juvenile, sophomoric playground sense of humor that corrupts the pages of this otherwise straight forward, technically insightful “milk toasty flavored” thread…🤣🙄👈🏻

I really need to work on that.

Since Mrs Chungas will be piloting 2.0 the majority of the time it might be that you should get her opinion 😎

Seldom do I have to ask Ms Revenge the nature or direction of her “opinion”..😬

Refurbed steering wheel in place…

The movement order is in place and the Mule is making a short trip south for the soft top installation. A/C is charged and ready for Ms Revenges forays on the black top to the nail salon.

Big news the storage Bld “garage” has power :bounce:, time to pick out a new mini fridge.

The Grand Meade hall is moving along too. All the windows are in and the new bathroom is framed up. Hardly seems like deer camp with an “indoor facility”.

Last pics from this AM, preload posturing before the trip south.

All the little bits are tidied up, spot checked and tested. Nicely executed by @Jdc1/ RCLC. It’s going to be a different Mule with the addition of the EPS/AC/Heat.

Today marks the official kickoff for PH II B. There are some challenges looming, IE modifying the hinges on the Aluminum tailgate and one or two challenges with regard to mounting the top on the AQ full tub/windshield/B pillar.

Original doors are not in bad shape. Some prerequisite rust along the bottoms that needs attention.

Should be interesting to see how this progresses. Once the weather broke I’ve been preoccupied with the Grand Meade Hall project. So, I’ll try to keep up with the dispatches as PH II B unfolds.

Moving into PH IIB.

@Atram - Dan and Alex at Alexander Restorations are in the drivers seat with the door repair Pre- Soft top installation. Same group who worked the AQ tub/paint in conjunction with/RCLC.

All in all, the doors were not very bad at all for mid 70’s Japanese metal. Baby Swiss at the bottoms of the doors. Quickly eradicated and repaired.

Spring has sprung in lower Babylon and I’m well into the follow-up on the Meade Hall. Looking down the road at geographic options for 2.0. Having just regained BG privileges, it almost seems anticlimactic to send the Mule south. Although, it does open up old man/geezer opportunities for “other” projects..😎

This is ambi door obviously. I don’t have a pic of the front D/P doors but, the tin worm damage was just about the same. All breakthrough damage was relegated to the bottom of the doors.

It's going to be weird having doors.

It's going to be weird having doors.

The doors needed to be refinished IOT fit the top/frame. From my understanding the top frame needs a little massaging to fit just right on the B pillar/windshield etc etc. 2.0 has the full Monty AQ windshield and it slightly different than OE.

To be honest, if it goes south, I’ll more than likely pull the doors, roll up the sides and roll old school with the door straps.

I still have the HT and Ambi doors left to rehab.

I was thinking more about the elbow room you currently enjoy.

100%..

I really enjoyed tooling around sans top last year. We had a pretty good drought going here in the Land of Nod so I wasn’t too concerned about getting wet. You’re right, open cockpit is the only way to fly.

The doors/tops I think, are something I just want to finish. Something started, something completed. Drives me 🦇 💩 🤪 to leave something open ended and incomplete.

Doors are in final primer. Seams are all sealed and it’s ready for mockup. I have a set of lower ambi door hinges inbound for integration/adapting to the AQ rear doors. The bolt on tailgate served a purpose last year, primarily to keep clays and shells from exiting onto the highway but, having a proper aft section will make it easier to load/unload.

Friday wrap up.

Mock up is “mocked”. Doors and hood remain original 1.0 full blown mule skin. All things considered (abuse from current owner) they weren’t in bad shape. Going to give credit to regular fluid film spray treatments for staving off any serious damage. Inner door mechanism(s) were in very good shape as are the outer handles.

Hit up the Father Son Team at JR’s upholstery with a WARNORD and a BPT engage the door cards. We’ve discussed a couple of options. I think in the end we’ll go with a stockish look with the MGV to match the seats. Meeeeybbee.

Looking good (not that I get a say - I would do the match) - sounding like OPORD imminent either way.

That steering wheel looks great! Who did it? Mine is looking like it’s 51 years old.
