@lherna

Louis-

@POPO AGIE has a great thread on 4spd TCase rebuild, with great commentary and pics.

Rebuild of 4-Speed and Transfer Case

Sooo, I ambled on down to Babylon.

I guess the “Barbie Garage“ has become part of the saga at this point.

Phase II of the Princess Parking Palace is in full swing today. The Mrs, aka the “Dark One” is out having a myriad of beautification upgrades performed that would be fitting an episode of “Overhauling” and couldn’t be bothered with “man stuff” this AM.

So, it would seem, that somehow by virtue of my biological niche, that I’m left to manage this project. Her words of encouragement were something to the effect of “ Don’t screw this up” , as she slid out of the driveway and rounded the top of the hill. Apparently she has forgotten my expert skill craft in the old world application of diamond plate. Meh, it’s an under appreciated art.

The boys doing the install and I stood looking at each other for a few minutes before the older, more grizzled and worldly one of the two said, “That’s a rally nice frig”..!

I stand vindicated…

For a bit there I thought you were upgrading your garage, not your kitchen.

Well, therein lies the rub…I thought it was a garage too…

Hmmmm, no sir, don't look like no garage I've ever seen.....

As English is not my native language I just want to make sure, Garage is the word you use for a space where you park and work on cars right?

If so where did this go south, I would like to know before mine starts looking like a 5 star stable.

This is scary!

Zoning in many areas won’t permit a large shop… however a barn isn’t an issue. And storing equipment in said barn is permissible. If neighbours complain the inspectors are not permitted to go inside the ‘barn’.

I hate my neighbourhood. I blocked my neighbor so he couldn’t harass me on Facebook anymore. He then messaged a Facebook friend to tell them how crazy I was… they felt someone was crazy… I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t me.

As memory serves me, It wasn’t easy..😉 I’ll have to take a road trip down memory lane, sort the facts from fiction, maybe even toss in a little of the truth to get the story straight.

That’s how ALL the history books are written.

Mark, it would seem, as if you and Mr Clemens share a common understanding. 😉

“The very ink with which history is written is merely fluid prejudice”.

Made it back to the Land of Nod.

Had a box of "smalls" waiting on me. Opened it to take inventory and put it on the shelf. It's full swing into the Home Project season and I won't get much done other than driving the Mule around the swimming hole.

The Barbie Garage is 99.99% complete. I'll post up a pic later. It is definitely not my taste or Mule approved but, the Mrs is happy with it soooo. 👈;)

’Mrs. approved‘ is one of the keys to longevity in a marriage.😉 We went to the home improvement store on Saturday and dropped over $1600 on Pergo flooring for the guest house that I happen to think is far too dark for the house, but the Mrs. thinks is “perfect” for cutting down glare.

So I probably won’t be getting to rebuild the steering box on the Karma Cruiser until September, which should give @Spike Strip time to find the little chingadera finishing touch piece I need for the job.

That's a nice style of Pergo - The wide planks look rustic. Tell the Mrs. she chose good.

👍 ;)
