I need to locate the reverse light on the left rear quarter. Can someone with a 73 post up what the dimension is from the top of the tub to the top of the opening and the edge of the tailgate opening (not the tail gate) to the side of the opening. If there is a light installed, dimensions to the top and side of the light where it meets the tub will also be good. I only need one of these sets of measurements. Thank you very much in advance.

I got my jump seat covers from Cruiser Corps. I sent them the material to match my front seat and they made a custom set for me. Turned out great at a very reasonable price, if I remember it was $50 added to their standard covers. The local upholstery places here were asking 4x the priceView attachment 4165106

Those look great. I was able to communicate with my upholstery guy, I think we are still on track.

@Engineer8000 decades back when I was restoring some very old motorcycles, many OEM parts were non-existent. In order to get the bike completed, I had to find a use a few reproductions for certain things. Amazingly things are out there but it was traveling out to Iowa, Ohio, and other sanctioned antique motorcycle swap meets and either kiss ass, trade or pay big bucks for the things I needed.

I saw this a few days ago…maybe it will be an adequate sub until you find the replacement you prefer to use

73 was a one model year only reverse light.

Thank you.

I have been fitting gas tank and seats to the new front floors today using the old gas tank and some junk bucket fasteners. Everything seems to fit up except one seat bracket mount and most of the tunnel cover bolts. I still need to clean up the seats, I was waiting until after this step.

This one bracket could be moved outward about 1/2" and everything works for the seats. Problem is I think it is in the correct location based on the old floor piece I have. So much of this seems finesse and beat to fit. Should I move the bracket and move on? Any ideas?

I have a stash of 73 reverse lights. I will probably keep one as a spare and sell the other two.

If you have a spare glass lens I am interested. My original from my 73 got broke when the cruiser was parked in my driveway many years ago. Probably the main reason I searched for a spare many years ago.

You are first in line when I get around to moving them on.

I made one final check of the new front floor before modifying anything. I remembered I had my new City Racer floor mat. I test fit it and everything seems to be right, and it looks like I can move that one anchor point within the existing floor mat tolerance. This floor mat is exceptional for an aftermarket piece.

Check out this thread. I purchased one to install on Louie so that the glass one could be kept on the shelf in the shop.
