these ones were in a couple very low km HDJ81s i brought in.
not big into speed shifting a Cruiser, at one time i was, now i am old and slow.

The market out there is bigger than slow old men, these have to be driven by soccer moms, business execs, these people dont have time to shift like road train operators LOL

That one also appears to be a hybrid LHD/RHD model,it has RHD wipers but has a drivers grab handle on the LH side.(it would be a good idea to have them on both sides)
There is a signature at the bottom of the pic ,probably belonging to an artist working for owner of the site.
So its most likely something put together to increase hits to their site.

The lhs grab handle is because there is no dash Jesus bar due to airbag.

About time then,no one except old grannies used that dash bar.

Are the holes there,I think I can see them under the paint?

Urm not sure about the 75. but they just have plastic circular clips you pop out of the screw holes in the 79s.

H55 a better box than a H151? Hell no.

After driving the h55 and 4 speed behind 2fs,3fs,h,2h,12ht and 1hz in 45s,75s,60s then the h151 behind 1fz,3f,1hdt,1hdfte and 1vdfte in 80s,105s and 79s I think the h151 is a nicer box and also stronger box.
The h55 is still a top box and it wouldnt bother me to have one but if I had a choice of the two it'd be the 151.
The h55 is good in the way when you mince bits if you have a spare 4 speed some parts are interchangeable.
The r151 selects gears nice but not good for strength.

I must live in a simple world.....if it goes "forward" when I want it to ...I am happy. If it goes backwards when I want it to ....I am equally happy.:)

Cool Info there Wayne, quite interesting

Much stronger and shifts much nicer than the ancient H55.

I doubt that its stronger, shifting is certainly snappier. Judging by the H55F ratios,it was obviously built for older engines with less HP as 1st is low.
With the newer engines having more power, the ultra low 1st is not such a necessity.
As it is,I ignore 1st gear unless I really need it,but its nice to have with a load on a steep hill.

Do H151 owners use 1st gear normally?

i know i don't use the first in the H55F unless i want to crawl off road

which is one of the reasons i like the H55F, it has the lowest 1st coupled with the best O/D ratio ...

5th gear, in particular is a better design in the H151, the H55, the fifth gear is tacked on the end and it's the weak point. As for 1st gear, is low enough that only a steep incline or the need to crawl extra slow downhill that I use it, both in my Hj 47 and VDJ 76.

I do .. in my H150 and H151 .. and why it's nice to have deeper gears .. you can go big tires without need to re gear on axles ..

I do. And it feels great uphill or in the mud.

On the other hand, you get used to the clickiness when shifting gears.
