Couldn't find that old thread on the grille lights, so started a new one. Bought these lights after reading about them, from a Corolla. I thought they were bigger, but if you don't have the 69 lights, these might work. Not sure if I'm switching out the old ones for these, just thinking.

What year Corolla?

Post #186 on my build shows them installed to get a rough idea. You'll need a bit of imagination since I'm not in paint yet.

I plan to get another pig-tail so I can use it as a turn signal and a maker light. I think I can swap it out and put in a #1156 (it think that's the one with prongs at the same position) bulb with not problem.

My New Project

The biggest problem with reproducing the OE correct 69 blinkers is going to be finding a set with sharp lettering on the bottom, I have two sets here but both have issues around the lettering making them bad candidates for OE correct replacements. I’m considering sanding the fronts smooth before buffing and making an OE’ish lens for my rig.

I have 2 sets. I can take close pics and send to you. I know there are other good sets out there that someone may lend out for the project.
If mine are adequate, I am happy to lend for reproduction.
Or perhaps you are right, sand them smooth and go!

how do they fit into a grill already cut for factory lights? they look much smaller

Nuclearlemon,

Good question! I went out and pulled down my 69 stash. :) The Corolla light is small, but covers the front. Problem is the mounting holes. It would be better to weld in the hole or use a later grille.

Not only the lenses, but the gaskets as well. We were shot down with my lens and gasket by the guy in Ca. Not sure who to turn to now and if the cost is worth it.
