Got my 67’ running again today. It’s been sitting about 8 years in my shed. Sucker fired right up. I decided to go with JT Outfitters full disc brake conversion instead of an axle swap and also an HEI distributor from there as well. I’m also looking a possible a new 1/2 tub or replacement rear floor and rear fenders. Any suggestions on which company is the best bang for the $$$?

Here’s a vid of it running.

Awesome. I’ve seen more 40’s up here lately than I saw in the last 20 years it’s wild.
I know of at least a dozen down in the Bitterroot.

Looking at that rot on the floor of your 40 right behind the seats, how's the frame look underneath?

Before you go crazy with the DEI distributor, I might know where there is about to be a carb from a 69 F engine with a distributor, both have been tuned by JimC a few years back. My buddy in Stevi is currently running it in his 69 40. We're about to pull his engine for a fresh rebuilt 2F.

Right on. I already pulled the trigger on the HEI. I have a Weber 32/36 on it already. It has the early manifold square and round. In/out. Frame is good underneath. Had been coated sometime in the past. Just surface rust on it. The tub is toast in that area though. Wish I could throw down on a new 1/2 tub. But will probably have to wait. Not sure.

I cut and patched a ton of rust out of my 40 about 10 years ago, it was brutal. A half tub would have been nice.

Yeah my rear wheel wells are shot too. Im
Not sure if I can get those and the bed part separate for my year. I really want to put in a bestop rear seat for my kids.

What are you guys replacing these splice block with?View attachment 4041178

That OEM part is still available, I don't have have a part number for it but if your local dealership parts guys are any good they should be able to look it up.

I ordered mine through Vintage Tech Parts unfortunately if you go this route you will likely have to wait an unforeseeable amount of time for it to ship 😡🤬...and/or you might eventually end up receiving the part twice 🤔🙂?? DAMHIK.

I’d like to replace them with something that’s waterproof and also I ordered new running lights for front and front turn signals and rear brake lights.

Its hard to find water proof stuff - water resistant is what most things are. Look for IP-68 rating

Still available OEM in Missoula not long ago.

Replaced the junction blocks. Currently trying to figure out how to weld up these fenders with my 110 fluxcore wire feed.
