I have not had good experiences with holley carbs. My old holley was so touchy to different elevations. The adapter is great for going to a sniper though

May be the way I go one day. Modified this one with vent whistle, side hung float, off road needle and seat and extended vent tube. I'll Give it a try and see. Also have spare jets for elevation if I ever get it to Utah.
 
I had no idea! Now I'm on the hunt! That's frigging cool!

It was way too much carb for a 2F...I had built a 76 2F for a Pig and even
.30 over with a MAF RV cam, it was hard to get down far enough. But then
that Edelbrock Rochester clone was a hunk of soft, pot metal junk.

There has to be a good candidate...maybe this...

Yup that would work with the offy. Just looked it up. With the sniper you can tune so might just be the thing. They look good too!
