Bodymounts for an 86 fj60 seem a bit pricy, after all they're not made of much..
Are there commonly used mounts off of other trucks that are cheaper, or mounts that are just made for general use? I would love to save a few bucks, got a tight pocket... Who can blame me though? :P

Just be glad they are still available at the moment because sure as Nagoya is in Honshu, they'll be unobtainium soon enough.
I guess I can get behind that. I was actually pretty surprised to find them being sold new. I just think that if I were to use some heavier, polyurethane ones that it might prolong the life of the truck. And if I were to modify the brackets to fit a different more common one, in the future if I have to replace one it won't cost as much.

May not be any cheaper, but Energy Suspension makes generic body mounts. Used a couple on my 40 restoration.

your rig is 30+ years old, most likely the mounts have never been replaced. If they need to be done in another 30 years, figure it out then.

Hi, Personally I'd go rubber mounts , these trucks have a rough enough ride. I've also replaced several sets of poly bushing that gave out after just a few years. Mike

I replaced my body mounts with poly mounts from 4Crawler 5 years ago. No signs of deterioration. Rubber body mounts aren't going to cushion your ride by any noticeable amount, but you're not wrong, rubber is more pliable.
