Great information thank you! I will dump Duck Duck Go as my search engine.
Same thing works in most search engines. Definite works in DDG, got the same two results @vfrer posted on the first page of DDG results.

Thx @vfrer for posting the “How To”

Only thing I’d do differently now is use silicone bronze as the filler metal during the TIG welding. Plenty strong for a door and sands WAY easier

I did the half doors as described. They are for sale if anyone is interested. Doors are complete with latches and hinges.... and mirrors.
Got some pix?

That search trick works lots of places that have crappy native search features.

Worse site I found for searching is SOR. I will use the exact works for a part and come zero results. When I finally find the part and is called just the words I used the search.

As for half doors while not as pleasing to the eye I prefer just cut straight across. Angled down is to low for my liking as an arm rest. Run a soft top B now and door headers or cut a couple of hard top side down to equal the height of the half doors. The Australian military HJ47s has raised sides. Figure that way no one will confuse it for jeep.

Did you make a custom rod for the interior handle? Looks to be about where the window crank is. Any issue with the rod movement? OEM that rod is in a recessed channel stamped into the interior door skin.

I don't remember the exact details on the rod. Most likely I did not use it. I do know the door is locked/unlocked with a "tab" that moves up/down in the slot cut in the aluminum interior panel over by the latch. There is no interference with the interior handle opening the door.
