Removed exhaust manifold and that thing is rusted out. Just ordered a header from JT's.
I'm going to redo exhaust while I'm at it. Some. PO left the exhaust hanging real low.

What should I do for muffler? Flowmaster or something stockish and quiet.

believe that is the connector for manual choke...weber is electric.

love seeing some TLC and money being spent on that truck. I miss it...im buying a lift for the 100 to compensate for my loss:p
 
you'd probably have to go PPPO to get to who last touched the exhaust.....like I said glad you are doing some TLC

Something loud will get very old very fast. Try to pick a spot for the muffler that takes advantage of an existing heat shield.

Agree on not liking Flowmaster. Magnaflow is a good option and sounds a lot better, IMO.

Still don't see why you wouldn't ceramic coat it now, regardless of what the future may hold :meh:

Ceramic is a coating - not a paint. It'll last.

Whatever floats your boat :D

At the very least, I'd apply some high-temp spray paint to it.

Flange looks just like the one I have....Good luck sealing that bad boy up to the exhaust ports...you might want to get a Remflex gasket.
