St Louis area rigs seem to always have serious rust issues. I would bet that this is toast. We can find you better when you are serious. In fact, I think I know where a better candidate can be found locally if you want me to check it out for you,

Around here (Texas) $2.5K seems about right for a running 40 with rust issues. I know nothing about 40 pricing in other areas. Is that considered high for Mississippi?

This is going to sound stupid but there is a lot of difference between Texas rust and St Louis rust.

That is the one I tried to get Mardis to buy. He was going to do 30K. It is 10000% fine as hell and done right.

Of all the bad ass 40's I saw on the Rubicon, that was the finest one by far.

It is truly an unreal truck. One would easily spend that amount on a truck of this quality.......even if they had tons of skills to do the labor themselves.

I love it. It is the perfect FJ-40 in my opinion. I would LOVE to have one just like it.

Ended up around around $185/ea (and two months at stockton wheels) to have the stock centers cut out, built up, turned down and installed in 16x8 barrels. Kept the front set close to stock so the hubcaps don't look deep dish and will run 1.5" spacers to get stock backset.
Add in another $60/ea for finish sandblasting and powder coating.

A little pricey, but this was the sugarplum dancing in my head and I couldn't be happier with the final product.

That size BFG KM2 is impossible to get...special ordered them. They arrived at Discount Tire and before I could get down to have them mounted, 10 other stores tried to take them out of inventory....good thing I paid up front.
