Think that's for a '78 and later... older models are different.

I finally got to installing the transmission and transfer case i got a few months back.
Did some other upgrades while I had the truck on stands.
Replaced the transmission, transfer case, tie rod ends, steering box (no power), new exhaust, muffler and exhaust manifold gasket, and added a few parts back to the truck that were missing before, a rear heater, the skid and splash plates, a carburetor cooling fan and a specially made switch plate to transfer winch control into the cab, a new trollhole carburetor (while I am rebuilding my AISIN) and a set of new original 78 front seats with headrests. Last was the addition of a set of (still not painted) barn doors in the back while the hard top is off. I had been slowly acquiring and refurbishing all the parts for this update for now over a year. It was time to actually install all of these upgrades. Next in line are to replace the front axle seals and rebuild the warn hubs.
So I think I am getting closer to actually trust the main structure of this truck.
With the "new" transmission and transfer case" it sounds much nicer. I replaced all the seals in the transfer case before I put it in.
And I now actually have a working parking brake. No more gear oil leaking out!
I wired a secondary fuse panel on the passenger firewall for the extra switch plate and took it from the original fuse panel constant hot. Works well.
