Hello all Gary here from the 80 series crowd. I was wanting to know if anyone has a 100 series frame diagram picture?
Reason is that I've been wanting to put one of those 40 series aluminum tubs on a 80 chassis but trying to think further ahead by avoiding a v8 engine swap vs. a solid axle swap.
Any thoughts?

I would love to see this!

I get about 13mpg mostly city driving right now.

This is great idea and there are more 100s available to retro fit. 100 series has a 112 inch wheelbase as well.

4 door ute would be outstanding on a 100 platform.

Probably lose a considerable amount of weight which would improve fuel economy to like a GX470. 14 mpg city and 19 highway. GX's are about 800 lbs lighter than a 100 series.

This would be awesome!

Good luck with this one! The 80 and 100 series body mount locations should be the same right? Since the 105 uses an 80 series chassis

The guys at ACC Garage combined an 80 frame, drive train and interior (!) with a 55 body. It is just so badass - open the door to an FJ55, and get in an FZJ80... the leather seats, curved (cut down) dashboard. I have no idea how they pulled it off (what was stretched, what was shortened), just that was a s***ton of work (and $$$). But man, the final product is just awesome:

No, but this will be done eventually, this thread will be of some help or inspiration...

So I have a 100 series that’s partially parted out (mostly the front clip and the front differential). I’m considering chasing this idea a little bit since I’m about to start rust repair on my beater 40. Thoughts?
