Love it. Is it a tad low in the rear...or is it me?

Nice sunny day for a pic of the three of them

That is pretty darn cool. There is a saying that I like a lot that I keep thinking of when I follow your multiple threads.

Boredom is a matter of choice, not circumstance.

I have to think that you are never bored with 2 resorations going along. Hopefully your kids see what you can do if you live your life not waiting on lady luck to visit, but pushing through obstacles, giving up only blood, sweat and tears.

Fine work. You inspire me to keep going.

Won't be bored for a while. Lots to do left.

Found a Warn long body hub and installed it so at least it would stay in one place in park.

Bled the brakes again and found a line fitting sucking air so I fixed that.

Took it for a more spirited spin. It has some giddy up.

Back to work this week, so not much accomplished. I went in for about three hours today and spent most of that working on the pig. It's getting a York.

Installed the 4wd emblem on the tailgate.
figured out the charging wiring, wired in the charge light and soldered and shrink tubed all the connections.
ran it up to temp and found a pin hole in the bypass hose at the t-stat housing. Fixed that.
Checked the trans fluid and found it to be a quart low after being run around. The hesitation going into gear is gone after topping it off. That was a pretty huge weight off my mind.
Did a couple of little button up things too.

Bravo! I give you a standing ovation, my friend, I am standing and wearing only my tiger skin banana hammock. You deserve that much.

love your LV, heres mine, I have to let her go (tears)

unfortunately I am selling mine times got a little tough on me and I had to chose between the 45 and the 40. anyone interested its in portland oregon craigslist, I think most folks dont even know what they are, in fact I get asked what it is all the time. At least on here everyone is very aware of what the hell that weird rig is... ha ha:cheers:

I cant believe how similar our LV's look, if I didn't have a rack on mine I would think they were the same rig from a distance......

Been a while since I've been able to do much more than move it around. It started up and ran great when I first started it, but all at once it started to belch blue smoke and miss horribly. Pulled the plugs last week. They were all carboned up, but no oil on any of them. Had the thought that the fuel might be bad. The tank was dry when I installed it, but it had sat for a few years. Maybe it had varnish that had dried solid and then dissolved with the fresh fuel. Changed out the fuel and cleaned the plugs. It immediately cleared up the blue smoke but was now puking black smoke and still missing. Let it run until it went into closed loop and the block learn started to swing from way lean. After a couple of minutes it started smoothing out

Welded up the exhaust and buttoned up a few other things. Getting close.

Put the Smittybilt console in. It's not bolted down. I'm going to need to built a rear support for it.

The shifter was right where the cupholders were, so I pulled the cupholders and have the shifter coming up through where they were at. I think it'll give me a place to mount the 80 series PRNDL indicator too.

Seat belts all mounted today. Spent most of the day wiring the dash.

#1 rule for putting a 1FZ into any thing else - use all the same year harnesses. You NEED all the main harnesses. Engine 1, engine 2 and cowl.

Deciphering wiring color changes between 97 and 94 is making this a lot harder than it needs to be.

At the the end of the day the voltmeter and dash light works. I don't yet know why the coolant temp and oil pressure are being a pain.

I also figured out why the tail lights didn't work. The 80 harness grounds the headlights and tail lights through the switch. Had to rewire a little to get that to work. Had to order a new brake light switch. Maybe Monday I can drive it home.

Wired the thermostatic fan switch in today. I found a boss in the upper hose neck on the engine. Drilled it and tapped it to 1/8BPT, which is what the aftermarket can controller I had takes.

Finished putting all the armor back on.

Put the Jeep Waggy flat pitman arm on too. I had a bronco 4" drop that was way too low. I had ordered a premade relay rod that was almost all the way adjusted out with the centered bronco arm. The offset Jeep arm has the relay rod turned almost all the way in. Lots more rod end thread engaged. I like it a lot better.

I've got the headliner in on the bows. I think I've figured out how to pre-drill the wood so I don't have to try and find all the random holes they used at the factory.
