When your shop created the new 'y' pipe (which looks great and is in a far better location), does it flow into a larger downstream pipe? Your pictures don't show anything but the 'y' joint and I assume it does, but can't tell.
Thanks for the info. I'll be ready to do the same later this spring - 3FE exhaust manifolds and '71 F engine intake manifold on a '76 2F long block.Wanted to add to the knowledge base without making a whole new thread. For older models (‘73 w/ 1.5F), the intake manifold fits well with 3FE exhaust without needing the heat riser ground down.

Shouldn’t be hard at all. I used OEM gasket, nuts, washers, studs, and ground the exhaust manifold tabs down to 10mm from 15mm. Kept them all within like .05mm of the intake tabs. Thanks for the info. nice pic and feedback on the 3fe exhaust on 1.5f, hate to ask but who built your down pipe and can you take some more pictures of the Y pipe and other connections. Curious how and where it was routed and what diameter pipe you ran post Y pipe. ThanksWanted to add to the knowledge base without making a whole new thread. I was fortunate to have a buddy who welded it up for me. It’s 2 1/4” OD so probably 2” ID all the way back. Maybe not ideal, but *tractor*nice pic and feedback on the 3fe exhaust on 1.5f, hate to ask but who built your down pipe and can you take some more pictures of the Y pipe and other connections. Just leaving these here for those that don’t want to fab head pipes. They fit correctly and worked well.
I used these on my 62 and I would do the same for my 60 if and when I add the 3FE manifolds to my 2F.

What CATs are those?

I definitely felt more power when I installed mine. Better low end torque and it actually makes the engine rev faster and higher. Makes the power band feel longer too. It's a win winI know this is an old post but I do have a question for you, did changing the manifolds did you get any more power or gas mileage thanks
