ya you'll have to re do your manifold flange and downpipe, or make a adapter for the manifold.. then you can always swap turbo's, kinugawa makes a td04 with the t3 flange (rectangle with 4 holes), thats what i got, buuuut kinugawa aint cheap

Seem to be peaking at 5psi with my exhaust on. The wastegate is disabled and I shorted it all the way.
I can see black smoke come out of my pyrometer hole when I rev it. It's just a hose clamp tightened. Would that cause a lower boost? Acting like a stuck open wastegate.
Okay I will do that tomorrow. Yes I'm running my boost gauge right off the snout instead of the wastegate. I should order a gasket for the flange.no probably not, but it doesnt help
turn the fuel up...... slowly
take some pics
did you plug the ends of the wastegate feed to the compessor housing if you have it unhooked?
what about getting the new adapter gaskets sealed up ?
i dont know much about the particulars of turning fuel up on a 2l
The wastegate hose is disconnected. Yes my EGT probe is right at the collector before the turbo.you can watch your boost gauge and see where the wastegate is opening, sometimes it kind of 'flutters' a bit on the gauge as it begins opening.
where is your egt gauge located. pre turbo in the exhaust manifold is the only reliable place to monitor it.
you could still have pressure side leaks, including the intake manifold gasket
