Wow! Very edgy, looking a lot like the new LR Defenders!
Wonder how long it'll take the aftermarket community to come up with bumpers, skids, sliders, racks, etc.?
The whole reason in 2018 when I purchased my 2013 GX was the lack of aftermarket support. At the time there wasn't really any front bumpers for the spindle grills, so I went with the very last year (2013) of the straight across bumper that I was able to find with the least mileage.
Hope it doesn't take 5 years for the GX community to come up with armor and add-on's for this! Especially since this is quite a departure from the the 460.
Before it was easy between 2013 and 2014, just a grill. Now it's all different.

With the money Lexus put into that video to show off the off-road capability, and the number of builds Lexus and Toyota (including the new LX) have done with great builders like Dissent, I'd be surprised if you didn't see a new GX with bumpers and sliders shortly after the reveal.

Center stack is also reminiscent of the Defender. Not everyone loves the Defender’s interior but I’m a huge fan of it. Purposeful, intelligently laid out, and made with materials that have outdoor use in mind. If the GX’s interior is similar but with the Lexus luxury/comfort/quiet behind it, it’ll be a home run.

Hoping your right and the after market crowd jumps on like it did with the new Bronco!

assuming heads up display as well

Looks like there’s at least dials for temperature. Hopefully there are for other HVAC and radio/media controls as well.

HUD should be mandatory on new cars. It does more for safety and quelling distracted driving (I.e., taking one’s eyes off the road) than most other safety tech. Anyone who’s tried to adjust a new VW radio/fan while at speed knows what I’m talking about.

Snagged a pretty crappy screenshot of the dash. Really wish the AC/seat controls had real buttons

Have y'all seen how Toyota handled the Grand Highlander's center stack? It looks great, although I do think this new GX screen is integrated into the dash better.

yes much better integrated and glad it is not a dual screen like the LX.

I like it. I have not placed a deposit on a vehicle since the last year of the E46 M3 but am probably going to stop by the Lexus dealer on the way home and see if I can place a refundable deposit, for MSRP. More of a hedge against the US Prado based LC being a flop. This one is at least acceptable.

Hope its a TTV6 and not T4. Also hope there is a non hybrid, non AHC option.

All but confirmed that it’s the 3.4L TTV6, Toyota had “34” on one of the teaser license plates and they usually do that to allude to something about the vehicle

I'm getting 80 series vibes here:

wow. notice the improved ground clearance @ 1:11. Approach angle appears to be significantly improved with the new grill/bumper design.
