Limited stove top space..... plenty of outlets. Bring the crockpot and make it there or at home and reheat.

Just keep an eye on it. Evidently the chicken chili entry had someone a lil nervous last year and the saboteur unplugged the competition

That said. Ill bring a pot o chili and a roll of duct tape.

I sear the meat before, but it's all about the crockpot... Someone should bring a couple power strips, we definitely ran out last year (as Jason found out)....

I'm in I'll bring a crock pot and a power strip and stand guard may cook the chicken previously to help with the worry of it being undercooked.

Ashley and I should be there early Saturday morning. We will make some chilli! We'll need to drop it off at the barn before we head to the work day.

Count me in for chili, we just got half a cow and I need to get rid of some meat. Any idea what time the work day is usually over? Might be a stupid question but is there a working shower at the barn? If not I was going to swing by the campground and grab one

You'll pass the barn if you come in on 24/27 through Albemarle. You'll hit URE and Eldorado Outpost first if you come in on 49. They're about 15-20 minutes apart.

Workday time depends on the amount of work to do, but I'd guess that most folks would be done by 2pm. No shower at the barn unless you bring your own.

From Eric and Mike's work day on Monday, it sounds like there is guardrail and posts that need to be fixed on Dickie Bell.

I'm going to try and make it. Really depends on what vehicle is ready. If I have to I'll take the minivan up Daniel just to show off my awesome skills at getting stuck or trying to roll. If I come for the whole weekend I'll bring the smoker and have some appetizers. May be bringing a non drama kid with me. Are kids allowed to do the gift exchange if they bring something? I cant remember.

Awesome! I guess kids can do the exchange but they might come home with bottle of liquor, a Thigh Master or something morally questionable so I'm gonna say that it isn't advised. Ya know, Dirty Santa and all... The Upstate exchange last year was tame - ours doesn't always go that route, but it's always fun.

One year one of my boys "participated" by "donating" his green laser pointer since dad forgot to grab something.
Not one of my finer parenting moments, but it's those hidden scars that make people interesting and funny. I guess I did him a service really...

Maybe a separate kids gift exchange? I'll be bringing my 3, sounds like there will be quite a few more. Although I guess it would be alright if one of mine came home with a bottle liquor.

Ha! Sarah and I were just talking about that last week while we were looking for that thing. Yeah, your kid was mad. Pretty sure Sarah told him, "well its mine now!". Ya know, just to make you look worse. Was that the same twin that suffered with you on the pig cooker debacle trip a few years back?

No, Aaron was the pointer. Seamus was the cooker. I like to spread the "love" around. Though they both got to asphyxiate on the trip to LR '16,and they both got to wait for hours in some random gas station on the failed run to last year Xmass party.
I'm knocking this parent thing out of the park.
