Absolutely! Lets find a time to go!
We're here next weekend for sure.
The WRT was fine for the 200. Being that its so wide open (out there) with no view obstructions you can pretty much identify any tight turns and be ready for them prior to the approach. One or two of the climbs on murphy's hog back were soft (underfoot / tire) but you just compensate with throttle and walk right up. Being my first time on shelf trails it was a great experience before heading to Ouray, boosted my confidence and I was able to better understand my vehicles width vs. what my mind was telling me. Not to be missed
no pinstripes earned there - those were handed out in Ouray
that's a magical place out there. No Pandora reception though - pack your own tunes
18 people is a big group - holy cow!Just updated thread #1 with member updates.
@BTUMAN I was just commenting on the fact that I locked down a camp site last year prior to venturing out on the WRT- Sorry if my comment was misleading in anyway. I'm staying in Moab just like everyone else - no worriesJust to keep us on track- and I made the mistake once already, there is a separate thread on the pre- trip to Moab. Also, I thought we decided on no camping in Moab due to heat, etc. Several of us have already made arrangements for housing or hotel with deposits. Would love to do white rim in the Spring or Fall.
If we have that many people we'll definitely have to split up into 2 groups.I reserved the 2 camp sites we stayed at weeks prior to my trip but once out there I saw NO ONE. still glad i had them locked down though
