I'm in Marietta at least monthly. Can I come too?

Mark me as maybe. I'll either go to this or the one with the club. Since my daughters don't drive 200s (100 & 4rnr) it will depend on them going deciding which trip I make

I'll be in Moab for Cruise Moab in May and will stay out of the August heat there :D

Were you guys on CB, Ham, FRS?

The WRT was fine for the 200. Being that its so wide open (out there) with no view obstructions you can pretty much identify any tight turns and be ready for them prior to the approach. One or two of the climbs on murphy's hog back were soft (underfoot / tire) but you just compensate with throttle and walk right up. Being my first time on shelf trails it was a great experience before heading to Ouray, boosted my confidence and I was able to better understand my vehicles width vs. what my mind was telling me. Not to be missed

no pinstripes earned there - those were handed out in Ouray

I know I'm a little late on the uptake here.... But White Rim is a blast! I did it solo 2 years ago, camped at Murphy Hogback in a violent thunderstorm. I have a photo here I call "No Left Turn:"

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring as a probable for 2HIH. Don't know if I'll pull my camper, take a hotel room or throw a tent in the back. I'm in the San Antonio area if anyone wants to caravan.

that's a magical place out there. No Pandora reception though - pack your own tunes

I agree on white Rim. A stock 200 can do it. The views are spectacular. If you do camp, you will need to make a reservation and get a permit. You should be able to drive the whole trail in a day and just stay in Moab, but start early. It would be a long day and camping at one of the reserved sites is pretty awesome

I might do White Rim when I am out there a few days ahead of Cruise Moab

White Rim

White rim description. I use this site for just about every trail I go on. Many of them have GPS coordinates you can download

Getting a camping spot on White Rim in the summer time is easy. I did it last year. I got a camp site the morning of at the visitor center. No one was out there. We had the whole trail to ourselves.

Just updated thread #1 with member updates.

Managed to get the wife out on a trail run in our 200 on Saturday. Turns out she likes off roading in a vehicle with good suspension and Air conditioning a lot more than a 45 year old scout with no doors or top....who knew???
Anyway, my sales technique worked, turned this in to a family trip, even managed to get her to see the need for bumpers and sliders.

I reserved the 2 camp sites we stayed at weeks prior to my trip but once out there I saw NO ONE. still glad i had them locked down though

18 people is a big group - holy cow!

Just to keep us on track- and I made the mistake once already, there is a separate thread on the pre- trip to Moab. Also, I thought we decided on no camping in Moab due to heat, etc. Several of us have already made arrangements for housing or hotel with deposits. Would love to do white rim in the Spring or Fall.

@BTUMAN I was just commenting on the fact that I locked down a camp site last year prior to venturing out on the WRT- Sorry if my comment was misleading in anyway. I'm staying in Moab just like everyone else - no worries

If we have that many people we'll definitely have to split up into 2 groups.
