If my brother in law doesn't show up Australia, I may be driving solo.

Is anyone else going solo? I doubt I can convince the lady to go.
Wife and kids are coming but I'll be doing the trails solo.

Mount a Go-Pro on your upper windshield so they can see the fun they'll miss...
-Maybe they'll change their mind on day two?

3 and 5 year olds don't enjoy sitting in the car for 7 hours 4 wheeling.... I don't think I'd enjoy it either when they are whining they want to get out! :)

My wife, two daugthers (7 and 12) and our Boston Terrier will all be hitting the trails. At least the first day, then we will play it by ear. Maybe start with the easy stuff at first

Do we have an idea of the trail schedule? Or is it too early in the planning phase

Awww... I didn't realize they were itty-bitty. :)

We decided the night before which trails to do. You can check out last years post to see all trail listings for reference. They are on post #1.

Last year I did. I got a sense that maybe a couple of folks wish they had....just saying. It can be good to have some zen time with good tunes and audio books along the way.

This year I will probably bring my kids.

It's quotes like this why I don't think I'll ever get married or have kids haha.

Anyways, put me down for a maybe. I still need to get back from Afghanistan and actually buy a 200, but those are (somewhat) easy enough.

Let's put these dates down on the calendar. We may take more time this year for family. Thursday - Tuesday.

August 5-7. Trails Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

I couldn't find anything conflicting but most haven't announced their dates yet.

Is it August yet?

I just saw you going the opposite direction on Dillion rd. headed towards 470. Your rig looks great!

Looking like I might be able to swing this... couple more scheduling things I need to work out but the tide is turning.

Just trying to confirm all of the dates between Moab and Ouray. Do I have this right?

Aug 1, meet in Moab
Aug 2-3, Play in Moab
Aug 4, Drive to Ouray
Aug 5-7, Play in Ouray
Aug 8, Drive home (or at least start the drive)

Steen, maybe we could meet up somewhere and caravan to Moab? Anyone else from Atl coming?

Looking at Mapquest to Moab the route shows 1-1/2 hours shorter going north through Denver compared to going out 40. I'll have the wife and kid (20 yr old) with me so not sure if I can convince them the extra time makes sense. What route would you take and what rendezvous point makes sense if we took 40 out? I don't have to tell them it's longer necessarily. At almost 30 hours, what's 1-1/2 more? :)
Skiime, who is on the tentative list, is from Atlanta so maybe he'll join the parade?

Assume no camping in Moab right? Going to be mighty hot that time of year. Anyone have a suggestion on where to stay in Moab?

once you come out of Denver the rest of the trip to moab goes quick - anything seems nice once you're out of kansas
