@BTUMAN I was just commenting on the fact that I locked down a camp site last year prior to venturing out on the WRT- Sorry if my comment was misleading in anyway. I'm staying in Moab just like everyone else - no worries
Oops. Sorry if that came across wrong. I didn't fully read it all or got confused somewhere in there. I wish we could all do Cruise Moab together when it is still nice at night and camp- crash that party!

You know- for those doing both- we need to come up with a name for the complete adventure. Something cool- "Expedition Moab \ Ouray" or 200s in the Hood or something- (that could be the Detroit stop) :)

Mo-ray

If we have that many people we'll definitely have to split up into 2 groups.

We could do a staggered start with groups of 9 or maybe even hit other traills. What is the concern with a large party? Traffic congenstion, permit issues?

The idea behind 2 groups is more intimate runs and less traffic on trails. This is a get together of sorts not a functioned event. We would try to split up based on difficulty of trails and then re-arrange group each day so everyone gets to meet each other and ride with each other.

Last year we met for drinks and food each night as well. So regardless you get to hang out with everyone.

Just booked a room

In case anyone needed any motivation to make the trip!

Excellent! Well done and a great song too! Loved it.

awesome - thanks for making that and posting - well done!

The family is interested in going to this, as I misses K2 this year and probably not going to make Gilmer, FML! WORK! Sometimes I hate adulting! Its a possibility I might make 25th GSMTR this year but still up in the air.
Wife wants to know whose gonna be there with kids? And wife will be about 5 months pregnant at that time? Thanks guys.

My then 11 year old will be there and loves to play with all ages.

Ok thanks, my daughter is 2, so we will see, I think it is safe to say we can be penciled in pending my work schedule. I'm having to save my vacation for when the new baby gets here, but I may try and take a non paid leave of absence for that month and use my vacation on vacationing.......I will confirm/consult with the wife on what she thinks and give a four sure answer. What kind of wheeling is being planned? very technical? All day? Last time the wife needed a bathroom every hour it seemed but, it would still be nice just to go and meet up.

On the bladder- there are stops- but at times I was amazed at the steel bladder of the ladies- as us guys were a bit more free to go. You might check out a company called Restop- they make special bags- one just for ladies.

1) last year we climbed 12,000-14,000 ft passes - You may ask your wife if "she thinks" she needs to check with the DR. on the rules about high altitude and pregnancy - just to be safe
2) the trails trips were mostly all day - including scenic stops for photos and exploring on foot - early am meets ups and roll out - beers later that night back in Ouray - pretty much all day but it went by so fast
3) I wore an adult diaper the so restroom breaks weren't needed
4) black bear was technical as in if you screw up you're dead - but it wasn't stressful or anything - just pay attention on certain parts

Hahaha sounds Great! She is definitely in, pending my time. We sure miss the mountains after moving back to Texas. Hell, we might make a trip up that way in April when I get home just to check it out.

Great video and perfect song. Hope we never find out the answer to that question... on black bear at least.
