George, I'll bring a few pieces of clothing from the latest River Shiver collection for the raffle, as well as all the freebies I can score from the liquor store.

Those red long johns last year were great!

I am seriously thinking of doing this trip again.

I will be coming down through Montana and or Idaho. Is anyone else coming from that region? I would like to either convoy with others or share a ride. The cost of fuel will be about 50% more than last year, making the cost close to a $1000, just to get there.

The free registration and cool tee-shirt sure is hard to pass up on though.

Kevin:

I'll most likely be driving from NM up to MT and then to the 45 run. I'm guessing that I'd be leaving MT (Helena) on Wednesday the 27th. I'll have the chica with me at that point, and I'll drop her off in Reno probably before I figure out where to pick Jay-rod up for the last little bit to the 45 run, but I'm game for some convoying.

The faux-lux CAN go fast, but I tend to drive pretty slow to keep the head temps and turbo cool, as well as get better MPG. 40/45/55 speeds are probably pretty close to my pace.

Dan

PS-Jerod: is Yreka the best place to meet up with you, and what's your schedule? I don't work from August 24th to September 7 (:flipoff2:) so I'm pretty flexible.

Hmmm, well I have been wanting to show up for the '45 run for a few years now and something always comes up...

I finally sat down to start figuring the route, directions, total time and distance estimates, etc. I had to check it a couple times. I did not realize how far away Deer Valley truly is. I'm guessing it will be about 500 miles and take about 9 hours to get there- ONE WAY! Damn, I thought it was way closer to the Oregon border...I have not driven for 9 hours in years, or ever in a cruiser! I have some serious decision making to do. I am pretty sure my buddy who I had been trying to talk into coming along will bail knowing how far it is. I am a bit concerned driving that far alone in my rig, I have done a few 2-4 hour trips in it, but that's about it. I am basically thinking out loud on the forum- I apologize.

Mang, I gotta figure out how to get down there. :(

Yo, Bull, sounds like you are caravaning with multiple FJ45's this year again, right? Are you going down early? Like Wednesday or Thursday? I think I will only have Friday- Monday off. If it works out with anyone I would love to caravan down, you know just in case and for fun.

Anyone else driving down from Oregon/Washington? What are your basic plans? Which days are you traveling? Heading down 97 or I5??? Anyone have ideas/info, please post up!

Carlos

I was up ther this weekend stop at the lake to let the kid out to play.

I was out there a couple weeks ago, checking out the snowpack!

:D

Alas, there won't be any snowboarding this year...

:frown:

I will be there late Fri nite or early Sat morning in the 45P/U.....Can't wait for the good times to begin...

Hey DanShj45, I will be leaving Calgary on Wednesday evening. I expect to be going through Reno the Thursday evening and getting to the camping area late. I'll be traveling at about 60 mph so I probably won't catch you.

Keep an eye out for landcruiser909. I think he will be heading back along that route from Iowa in his 45.

I still haven't found anyone that wants to go, so I'll be flying solo.

less than one week to go. man, i have a lot to do still...........

Sorry to hear that Mike. We're gonna miss you, Matthew and your 45.

You will be missed.

Well kids. Bull is out. Mrs. Bull is expecting to give birth this fall and the doctor said no more camping trips. It is a little more indepth than that but I will spare you the gory details.

I'm totally bummed because this was my only scheduled vacation.

Smooches to all

Understood. Having had the chance to visit the Bulls last month, I kinda saw this coming [IOW, I bought my own ]:D

Ain't gonna be the same without cha bro.:frown:

Attention!!!!!!!!

I'm writing the 45 Run article again this year, so if any of you have some killer pics, please resist the temptation to post them here and send me a PM, and they just may make it into print!

Also, we need a sponsor list, so any of you that brought goodies for the raffle, please post up, I don't want to miss anyone, no matter how small the contribution!!!

Thanks for any help folks!
