Well, did they get to drive?
of course! He drove for a while on White Rim trail and then some other more technical trails around Moab and had a blast. He is 14 and has already driven an FJ45, HJ45, FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FZJ80 and now the 200. He's had a goal to drive as many variations of the LC as possible. I think he's off to a good start.

When my older girls were little, we camped in the FJ40 and made lots of memories. So I guess it's not any different other than the vehicle.

Agreed, that’s one heck of a spot. Mine are 5 and 6 and we’ve been camping with them a few years, they can’t get enough of it and we do it at least once a month regardless of weather. We had kids kinda late (40) but a benefit of that is hearing all our contemporaries go on about how fast it goes and all that… we are not making that mistake.

Did she catch anything??
Right on! That’s great you and the family can get out so often. Starting them young with the wheeling and camping is super fun and they quickly learn to love it. Makes for great stories and memories. I am looking forward to the days of getting both girls out of diapers and finished with potty training lol. Stopping to pull out the pink training toilet slows down the pace on the trails hahah, but it’s all well worth it.

Didn’t catch anything more then algae and leaves, she still had a blast.

We went from the little toilet like you mentioned to a wrappon. If we never use a public toilet again I’ll be happy.

That’s good parenting right there, I think a lot of teens coming up have a lot less interest in car culture than they did just 10 years ago. My dad had me behind the wheel as soon as I could touch the pedals, he had a little land and a pasture so that led to self taught stunt driving and some tractor and bush hog driving… good times. I tell those stories to parents now and they think that’s just crazy.

This is the way!

I may, or may not, have driven my dad's car (with dad in the passenger seat) for approximately a 40-min drive through the local jurisdictions (including 20-odd minutes on the highway), at around 6am, to a swim meet, at the ripe age of 12. :O

@Artie @eatSleepWoof sounds like you guys learned to drive the same way I did. I started my son driving on mountain roads when he was about 11 in the old fj60 manual transmission. One of the advantages of living in the boonies of WY is he can get a little experience with little to no vehicles around. Back then he was barely tall enough to see over the steering wheel. Now he passed me in height and looks old enough so we've graduated to hwys, ha ha.

That’s it and it’s been a game changer for packing in packing out. If you’re comparing cost per flush against digging a hole then it’s expensive, if you factor in comfort, accessibility, and the wife approval factor it’s a solid win.

You guys are really starting to make me think 🤔

200 seies lifestyle is way different than I'm used to. I can still live perfectly well with Wag bags and a bucket and everyone I camp with thinks I am spoiled.😁

Here’s another low tech option lol. If you have a winch you are pretty much ready to roll, anchor yourself to the winch line and your in business 😂

Or do the same thing with two willing adults used as counterbalance. Trust poop!

Uncle boogers bumper dumper💩

As a 200 owner you guys actually poop in the wilderness. You're not going to the local Ritz that you're staying the night at? What kind of peasantry is this 😂
