Hello! First post here... been here lurking around a bit and thought I would share a couple of pics from a trip I took last week to West Texas and the Big Bend National Park. My LC is a 2009 with 126K on the clock. All stock aside from KO2 and all new lights (all lights now LED including low, high, fog, blinkers, cabin, etc.). Thanks!

Soon enough we'll be matching when I get my KO2s. I did the same thing with everything LED, still need to do blinkers though

Used the winch to pull myself down as I was within a couple degrees from rolling.

Crazy-Dream colors like this popped for only about 10 minutes as the sun poked through at the end of a storm-cloudy day...

OK... As far as I know...I am not Cole’s dad.
BUT... Apparently some waitress at a burger joint in Moab assumed I was Cole’s pappy.
-Cole was too kind to tell me...so I heard it from good ol Bethany later (or mean ol Bethany?). Ha! :hillbilly: So depressing...

How were the coopers?

How were the coopers?

I hate to say this, but Greg was not in love with them at all. My Ridge Grapplers were hooking up MUCH better virtually everywhere. There was one line I was able to walk up on Poison Spider, but the Coopers (aired down to 15 psi) didn't grab much and ended up sliding Greg sideways into a very precarious position. I think they're likely great tires for 90% of what's out there, but they did not fare as well as the Nittos in Moab.

Here's a quick video that shows how well the MTS works on the 16+ 200. In many situations, the truck feels almost fully locked but retains the ability to steer easily. That combined with the low first 2 gears of the 8 speed transmission has me sold on this truck.

That was my observation as well. Richard's truck probably made less than half the chirps that Greg's did on Metal Masher and Fins N Things. And it's not like Greg was trying to just muscle through everything. The Coopers were definitely a bit more dramatic. RGs and KO2s remain my favorite tires, by a long shot, on a 200.

I see Greg washed the truck for Saturday's run, he must have really wanted those beauty shots. 🤣

Had a blast at Cruise Moab!
It was great meeting everyone as well. The 200 was very impressive on the drive there as well as the trails! We also go to do some good testing on the aluminum armor and was pleasantly surprised on how well they handled the rocks. The rear and sliders took a lot of hard hits without issues, skids and front took a couple decent hits as well. Unfortunately I forgot my good camera and GoPro so didn’t get much for pics.

Nope. The roof rack in question is Dissent Off Road's own offering.

Yep its a Prinsu with the lightbar cut out. You can see the Prinsu logo on the rear of the rack.

Disclaimer/Opinion Note:

If this sort of thing makes your heart race, maybe just don’t do it. -Not to imply there’s anything technically hard about getting close to an edge. It’s not difficult. -More just that if spots like these make your heart race.., an inadvertent over-reaction or stressed reflex can do bad things. So be honest with yourself & think about whether this makes sense... :)

PS. Thanks @Mendocino for spotting everyone, and @indycole for shooting photo. :) Lighting was weird at that time of day, so B&W made sense.

Bet you your LX ;)

Look again... Greg's LX is equipped with a Prinsu rack. I stared many times out of the sunroof and saw it with my own 👀s

Ah shoot. I thought MattyO had quoted Benc's post. What little of the collapsed/preview image is shown looks identical (colours) to Benc's photos immediately above. Guess I'll be striking "detail oriented" off my resume! 🤣
