Looks great! What kind of trailer are you pulling? Options for fuller size offroad campers are very limited in the US. Kimberley's can be imported but it's hard to pull the trigger on something like that without actually seeing one first given the cost. Guess I could just make the trip down under... for research and such :)

Is @Romer bringing his kimberly to LCDC?

I would if base camp was Ouray. That is a lot easier when camping or bringing a trailer. Closest place to Telluride that will confirm a reservation spot camping is almost 30 minutes away. All the closer ones are first come first serve. In Ouray, there are several campgrounds right there in town so you can enjoy your trailer and be part of the action.

Interesting timing... just went to the Kimberley site to pull a pic and noticed there is an LA based dealer "coming soon". Might work out well for my timing which is a few years out.

This is the size we'd be looking for. Wife would want something bigger for the longer trips we plan to take when the time comes.

Those are nice units and a step up from my Karavan. Much more luxurious inside with a separate shower and toilet and bathroom sink One of my criteria was being able to fit in my garage so aging is kept to a minimum

Believe me, I get it. That was a criteria for me too when I first started looking along with being able to take it on tighter trails, but my criteria lost out to my wife's criteria... what's new! :)

Thanks @steenh , I went from a Kimberley canvas based offroad trailer to an AOR Quantum Plus, poptop, which is more van like, they are called Hybrids here it has the external cooking facilities of the Kimberley and with some luxuries like shower toilet diesel heater hot water etc. Fully offroad and off grid camping easy to tow same width / height as the cruiser all custom made to order but you pay for what u get Im sure they would love to import one to the states for you. Definitely worth you while coming to Aus and checking out what we have over here www.australianoffroad.com.au

Thanks for the link. Looks like a great option having a bit bigger unit but with the popup. I've asked for some info. Looks like pricing is in the same ballpark as the Kimberleys.

Just so this thread doesn't go completely off track... a random pre-most mods pic from the first trip to Ouray 3 years ago.

Keep in mind the pains of importing a vehicle. Kimberley has an import license so their are not any other than shipping. They provide a US ready title to take down to the county. It was simple and easy. I have no idea what it would take with other companies who don't have an import license
