February ROTM 2/27/16 Most Likely Box Canyon

great group, 200's LX570, bunch of 100's, couple 4runners and 80's.

Kreiten-that looks like quite a drop, did you scrape on he way down?
didn't scrape but came really close, I need to hurry up and get some sliders, I've been pushing my luck lately!

it was a blast! I've got to edit down the dash cam video, got to the bottom and left it recording... My 3 yr old was in his car seat in the back. Get ready buddy, we're gonna drop! Scared him, but we both loved it.

I was constantly amazed at how well these trucks did. The jeep guys were just in awe...what is that again, a Toyota...made that look easy! it took longer for 3 jeeps to make it up the step than all 14 of our trucks. ATRAC is the real deal. Lockers would have been nice, but once the computer took over and started modulating the brakes, the truck just started walking up whatever was in front of it.

That's what it do

I'll one happy boy when my grey 200 it built just like yours. :)

You've done to your Cruiser aaalmost exactly what my eventual plans are for mine. I've only had my 200 for a year...but I'll get there. Would love to throw in a gorgeous Lexus zippy car on the side as you seem to have done...but I'll grin with the 200.

Canyonero has a nice truck. I stared at the picture for a bit while laying out the plan for mine

Did you powder coat your wheels?

Plasti-dip. I'm pretty happy with it, although it does start to peel off after some trails. Overall, well worth the minimal time, effort and cost. Completely changed the look.

Never used PlastiDip...

Are you able to do touch-ups with the tires mounted? Or is full removal required?

Also... Are you able to spray to fix peeled spots? Or do you just remove all color and re-do?

Are you able to do touch-ups with the tires mounted? - I wouldn't, I'd just peel it and re-spray the wheel

- redo the whole wheel - its so easy and if you tried to fix it it may end up looking like hell - not worth it - just re-spray

Yeah, I 2nd that - I've been looking at mine and trying to figure out if I want to take my wheels off or wait another year. If I paint my calipers orange, I'll do the wheels too (black again, not orange!) I guess. But in terms of a cheap and easy way to change the look of your wheels, you can't go wrong. In my opinion, if you do it right it looks like they are professionally powder-coated.

PlastiDip is super easy; when you get tired of it, blast it with a pressure washer to remove. To apply, just remove wheel, mask off the tire, spray a few coats, and pop the wheel back on.

So I've got 33" wheels, but no photos of them yet. Maybe I'll try them out next weekend. Planning on adding a roof rack in a month or so. It's so hard to find parts here.
