I guess that was leading to my next question, does anybody have their hands on a set yet. Guess not.I dont think they exist in consumer hands yet, they just recently offered them for sale.
Nice work, I as well bashed my running boards up pretty darn good before getting sliders. Not saying the running boards are anything like a slider, but for minor hits they do take a few hits and kinda protect the doors. This site is awesome. Broke the stock running boards while off-roading. Still trying to decide on which rock sliders to get. Leaning towards budbuilt, but I can pick up the white knuckles to save on delivery cost… but gas in SoCal is super expensive so it just may be worth it to ship!View attachment 2889710
MT has a kickout and dimple die.
Interesting. I bought a skid set from them and the freight was basically free, like $35.It's funny, I never see the MT sliders on 200's but they are common other Toyota models. I ran a set of their sliders on my 2012 FJC and I was very happy with them. I just checked freight for having them shipped and it's nearly $600 to Texas, that's insane. Slee sliders are over $200 cheaper and nearly $300 less on the freight using the same company, I can't justify the extra $500 for the MT sliders.

Did you call?
I love the construction of the BB sliders but I hate the diamond plate cover, I've always felt that diamond plate cheapens the appearance. If they offered a dimple die cut plate welded in like some of the other manufacturers I'd jump all over BB sliders. Personally I don't care about having a tread plate but the misses won't allow that so I am still leaning towards Slee even though they lack in the kickout and install.
I don't think most folks choose the diamond plate, here's dimple up and down. There are several sets floating around with a screw-in filler plate as well.

My short and elderly mom and kids have no grip issues with the dimple down version. Vehicle height is still an issue for my mom, but she manages when I visit. That’s really nice. I “have” to get the diamond plate for the increased grip, especially during the times my mom visits. I have a step stool, but for whatever reasons she refuses to use it.
I guess once I get a lift she’s going to have to learn how to use the stepstool! But yeah, the dimples look way better and more stock.

If grip was an issue I'd throw on some skate grip tape, but it has been unnecessary.
The kickout has the added benefit of a large step for my kids.
I run them on my 200. Shipping to Colorado was around 300 if I remember correctly. Love them. It's funny, I never see the MT sliders on 200's but they are common other Toyota models. I still suggest calling and having MT confirm that shipping. if you already did that I'll just show myself outIf MT could deliver them to me for a similar price as Slee ($300-ish) then I'd be hard pressed not to order. They both use LTL Freight.
