Well the tub is in peices and needs to be welded bqck together and painted. That being said my motor still runs. All I have to do is plug the gastank back in.

I'm way ahead of JP on that.

i will prob. be a dad before your 40 is painted and back together...... as scary as that is for me to say :grinpimp:

From the sound of it, I will too!! Mine will run with gas supplied to the fuel hoses, I did turn it over the other day... So I might just win one!!

Jay just found your thread. Looks like the project is coming along. We might get these on the road about the same time. Need to come by and check it out.

Yeah, i'd love to... I think that paint job on yours looks kick a$$, it is sweet. I hope to get it running at least by the weekend and all the sundry put back together and drive it next week. I need to do what you are doing, wiring, but that'll wait until the next go round I guess....

I wish mine was going to be running in a week. My biggest problem is finding time to work on it. I still have not started the wiring. I have it all spread out on a sheet of plywood. Maybe with enough beer I can get in the right frame of mind to dive in and get it done. I keep finding other things to work on and avoid the wiring....

Well give me a holler if you want some help. I am now wishing i'd rewired mine as it won't start most likely due to a bad ground or something. I'd be interested in diving in to wiring, esp since it isn't on my truck!!! But like I said if you need help or just want another cruiserhead around, gimme a call (615) 969-0010, especially if you decide to smoke some more of those ribs you had on your writeup page!!!!

Dern me, I forgot to add pics of it done... Well, here she is....

So the parking brake works, huh?

Very nice! Congrats!

All fun and games till your HOA sends you a nasty gram for having a vehicle parked on the grass. LOL

Oh, they had a good time when I was painting it... believe me. They said I was running a business paint booth out of my garage... Our relationship is a love hate one... I love to hate them, and they reciprocate the feeling

Man that looks just great Jay!!! Not bad at all

I am very jealous as my project has stalled wish I was finished like you.......

 Finished... that's funny, it is always a work in progress right? Exterior is mostly done, still gotta do disc brakes (so I don't have to anticipate braking and turning the steering wheel right so I don't get jerked into oncoming traffic) to replace my ailing drum system (those are awesome by the way) and hopefully if all goes well a mini truck PS box and saginaw pump. Right now the load I just dropped at RHT on the new 80 has got things, well bindey to say the least, but hopefully it'll come along... Thanks for the kind words though JP, how much more do you have left on yours?

did you buy a new 80?

Well new to me... I picked up a '97 40th from a guy in AL for a good deal, and am now attempting to rid myself of the '95 blue one. So yeah I did... i'm liking it so far.

Just don't get the P/S kit from JT Outfitters. you WILL regret it!!
