Spring green rocks... Anything you go with will look good but I vote white

Another option would be to use a lighter gray on the wheels. It provides a nice contrast and looks good with hubcaps. For some reason, the white or cream wheels with spring green suggest an ice cream truck. Here's an example of light gray wheels with spring green on a 45.

I'm a big fan of the traditional dark gray wheels on virtually any color. Although that 45 is beautiful.

Dang, that's my favorite truck with my favorite color ever. Yes, loving the lighter grey color. I've been seeing a very dark grey lately on a lot of trucks and assumed that was OEM forever and always.

The OEM gray was not as dark as the examples in the prior post, here's a photo from the 1979 sales brochure.

Yes, that cinches it. That grey goes well with the Spring Green. Now just gotta find the Spring Green. Who does it?

Spring Green is Toyota T-1028, PPG 43550, Dupont 99154.

The Auto Color Library shows a Spring Green chip on a 1964-67 sheet, page 3 indicates 1028 was used on Land Cruisers between 1966-71.

Looks like yours and mine both visited the same rear bumper fabricator. Or maybe it was a rare option in '76... ;)

Yes, and mine refuses to come off. A couple of nuts stuck on bolts in very unforgiving locations inside the frame rail. I've spent a little bit of time one day trying to get them off. It'll take some additional work - or a cutoff wheel. I need one person to hold the open end wrench in place, and one person to use the air tool.

Looks like the same JT outfitters bumper that is on the rear of my truck. If it is, it should bolt into the captured nuts for the original bumperettes/tow hitch mounts. The nuts on the inside if the rear cross members are all captured nuts, which won't budge. If they are stuck from the outside they are probably just super rust seized - but the bolts should back out from the outside of the frame rail.

Naw, mine are nice and spinny! If there were some in the captured nut, I removed those bolts a long time ago.

Packed in about 3/4 full of some good high temp grease. I made quite a mess.

And this is the order I'm installing the pieces of the knuckle spindle, dust cover, etc.
