How are you liking those gullwing windows? What's the brand? I wanted the QuickPitch gullwing windows but they just stopped responding to my email.
So far so good. I got them directly from the fabricator in Adelaide as I wanted a custom design. They are the same brand sold on the expedition Center website.

Woulf love to see some pics of your aux tank solenoid system and wiring if you have some ? Did you match it to that OEM aux tank cluster on page 1 or 2 ?
Don't have any photos of that yet, but I'll try to remember to take some. Matched them to an OEM dash switch... I ditched the gauge cluster in favour of a blue sea vsm 422

Anyone got any bright ideas on how I might fix the recovery tracks in this position 'securely'? Ideally something quick to remove but somehow lockable. I don't want to modify the RTT cover either.

Hey mate

How about this sort of thing?
There's different sorts. I have a flat nylon strap (like a seatbelt) with 2 stainless steel cables sown in the middle and a combination lock in shed at home. I can take a photo of them when I get home if you want ? might be able to get them through my old old hardware shop still?

Their similar to this but wider.

Thanks mate! That looks like just the ticket. Yeah let me know which are the flat ones you mention... I reckon they'll do the trick, not just for the tracks but maybe get another set for the front rack as well. Cheers !

They took a bit to find. Lucky I'm packing up the shed.

My son is checking with his distributor to see if they still stock them, but he thinks not as he has not come across them for a while.

I found some on Ebay, not far West of where I live if your still interested and can not get them at your end?

Thanks mate, these look good. i can get those Kanulocks you first linked on Amazon delivered to my door, and i just looked for these and i can also get them sent to my door as well mate, so no need to go to any hassle but thanks for the offer.

So how much stuff have you found in the shed?... i have a list a mile long of stuff i bought and can not currently find, buried somewhere in there. :)

Yeh. Me too. I think I'll be having a Toyota "new - old stock" sale with the stuff I bought then bought again. :D

oh yeah, how many parts have i ordered twice! to stop that happening, about 6 months ago i sat down for three days gathering all my toyota parts i could find, I made an excel file with the codes and put them back in coded boxes. so now before i order anything i check my file to make sure i haven't already... like you i have been ordering millions of things to put on the car at a later date after the paint job, but now over a 7 year period!

Being a bit slack with the thread... but things are still crawling along.

Perfected the mounting and finally fitted my latest (third) aftermarket AC condenser and FMIC, painted everything black as well so none of the white is visible through the grille or gaps in front. Just have to paint the big washers.

Still have room for a fan should the need ever arise, but I hope that will never be necessary

I had a turbo diesel with a large front mount I/C, we installed a pusher fan in front of it for slow off-roading. It worked excellent.

Cheers

I don’t think one inch is enough room to do anything.

Cheers
thanks, good to know... I thought i'd seen some super low profile ones, but I've never really looked into it. So i don't have room after all it seems

You probably don’t need it.

The truck I put it in was a rock crawler so lots of very slow off-roading.

Cheers

Hi Damo, I'm wondering if you could direct me to the part number list for the oem 74 series fenders? been trying to figure out what those ones were for a long time! Also, did you get them thru toyota in peru or thru australia?

No worries, I'll send you the list in a day or so when I get home. They were sourced in Australia at the time, but one of the online stores might be cheaper.
