No dog cage. 100 percent the slide. Also the truck has less than 3,000 miles since the install.
Does the squeak occur when opening the slide? Or is it only when closed? I just have this nagging thought that a bit of hardware is loose/the culprit. Many of their mounting ports were cut/built with adjustability as to be able to lift or lower to make accommodations. What we found was that unless really really torqued and sunk into the wood, the everything has the ability to move/flex. Just my $0.02. If confident this is not the case.... then the slide(s) themselves might be buggered. 😖

Slide closed. Locked into place. Of course everyone makes their product with the ability to take some movement. It’s just when this thing moves it creaks. If the truck rocks forward, backwards, sideways the noise is there.

It had a chatter on every bump and they suggested packing grease in the slide. Seems that killed the chatter but now this creak

Oh sheeeeeeeeeeet, I think I know what that is! I think that is the panels/drawers/wings rubbing against themselves. Maybe try "cracking open" the drawers and wings and see if it does it again. I recall having that same thing, even after not bed-lining my wings. Thankfully (or shamefully), my 80 must be louder than yours cause it never was able to drive me mad while driving, but I do recall hearing that noise when reconstructing the box.

Hmm. I think I know what you are saying but mine are not rubbing against each other. The noise is coming from the right fridge slide. Maybe where that slide connects to the drawers but those connections are tight. The slide is greased. No clue.

What is odd to me is we did do things to quiet up the drawers. I drove the Cruiser 15 miles 12hrs before pickup and there was no noises. The Cruiser was quiet as can be. 🤷🏼‍♂️🙁

Cheers

I don't have the Trek drawers, but have somewhat of a similar design. Oddly enough my fridge slide makes a the same exact noise. Greased the slides, tightened the hardware, no luck. I've given up on it.

This is all @SNLC fault. If my truck wasn’t so quiet I would not have these problems.

Remove fridge/slides. Problem solved.
I’m pretty sure these would already be fishing structure off his pier if there was not all the detailed beautiful wiring and cable guides incorporated into it.

Fact. It’s looking like this won’t be in my life permanently so that’s likely the end result. I’m just not there yet.

It could be moved over to something else. The only totally custom part is the wiring guard on the backside of the RHS wing where the power ports are.

Cheers

Since it's causing a fuss and clearly hindering you from enjoying your newly built truck - I will volunteer my services to take the trekboxx system off your hands and thoroughly "investigate" the culprit of the noise on various road conditions throughout the United States. :hillbilly:

Not familiar with the product, but I'm guessing it's got a plywood frame, or some kind of timber involved? Sounds to me like wood rubbing against metal or another piece of wood. As a temporary fix, you could take a can of white lithium grease and spray it around liberally, and see if that solves the problem. If you can identify the area that's causing the squeak, a permanent solution would be to place a piece of lightweight fabric, like cotton, between the two surfaces. You could try doing that behind the metal rails for example.

Yeah, I agree. Sounds like wood on wood to me. Something other than that drawer slide must need tightening.

I’m moving on from it and just turning up the radio.

I just cannot get over the NoiseBoxx so I’m going to find a replacement. I thought maybe the noise was the fridge. I read a couple of forum comments that their National Luna made some noise like the compressor and associated components swaying inside the box. I figured I would try anything so I unloaded the fridge and everything else in the drawers and went for a ride. Completely empty the drawers are unbearable. Everything is tight. I’ve adjusted per the trekboxx instructions. It just rattles and squeaks.

Oh well. I was going to get a set for my 200 series but have decided to try Dobinson. Simple and quiet. Not real sure what I want to do for this truck though. Maybe a Goose Gear setup. What an enormous disappointment.
