Has anyone tried the Walker 25024501 ($99 ea) or 35034430 ($88 ea) listed on Rock Auto? If I hadn't done a search on here for 1994 O2 sensors, I would have just gone to Rock Auto and bought the ones they had listed there without thinking twice about it.

I need to do this on my '92. I've got a code 28. Same deal as for the '94?

I just bought Denso sensors for a 1995 on rockauto for $60 CAD each. Removed the pair system and installed the sensors upstream of the originals in the old air injection ports. You don’t need to re-pin. I confirmed this by comparing the 93 and 95 diagrams.

One of the O2 sensors is still available from Toyota. I can't recall which one it is. But, based on info. from @cruiserdan (in another thread), I learned that the one sensor that is still available works for both positions on the 93-94 OBD1 80 series. I slapped two of them on my wife's rig... no more CE light. Sorted things right out.

Also, if you don't have "smog" testing in your area, move the sensors up to the exhaust manifolds. Pull the PAIR and relocate the sensors to the exhaust manifolds.

The difference between the OEM sensors is the length of the wire harness. The sensor that is still barely available is the one with the longer lead.

Removing the PAIR system will cause an immediate visual failure of any properly-performed emissions test.

I just did this on my '94, since I got CEL for the O2 sensors
  • I bought an O2 sensor for the 95-97 models (Denso 234-4153 Oxygen Sensor). Not able to source factory parts anymore.
  • I shaved down the outer ribs as mentioned in prior post (turned on angle grinder and simply pressed connector onto flat side of blade to smooth down side ribs to flush). source: Post #38.
Installed and the truck just does not have any power on take off. I ran the Denso for 50 miles, no CEL.
Any suggentions ?

Referring back to a similar thread from last year, 89465-69115 appears to be the correct part number for the right side (OBDI 93-94). But there is some conflicting info on if this is the longer pigtail, in which case it would work on either side, or the shorter. see below Post #56, and again #72-76. Can anyone confirm that using two part no. 89465-69115 would work with no further modification for this application?

That is the current part for both locations. I have replaced both with that part in the last year. The inner sensor was a cast iron bitxx

I really don't think the 95-97 sensors are compatible with the 93-94 engines. Even if you shave the connectors. Different impedance values I would guess.

I would trust @cruiserdan on this -- here he says that the Toyota Part No 89465-69115 (which is still available) will work for both locations on a 93/94.

Oxygen sensors for 93-94 FZJ80's... cant find 24044 ntk - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/oxygen-sensors-for-93-94-fzj80s-cant-find-24044-ntk.1271932/post-15186323

And you should buy an extra or two.

While you still can...

I have two original correct sets. It would take a lot of coin to get me to part with one of them.

I am going to start a new thread called "What is in @cruiserdan's parts hoard?" so I can get a list of everything I need to buy for my 93.

The bad news is that this thread will likely cost me a small fortune. The good news is that the value of said parts hoard will likely outperform my 401k. At least in the near future.

These are the plugs I took out, with about 25k miles on them with CEL on. I dont think they are took bad

Yes, the pig tail for that sensor is long enough for both positions.

89465-69115

Just to reaffirm, O2 issues, wiring issues all resolved with these O2 sensors and of course repinning/replaceing the harness side of the connector.
When repinning, pay attention to the pin outs! They are mirrored, so don't let your brain forget that. LOL

I had flipped 4 with 2 and was chasing a code 21 to my wits end, turns out my brain has flipped them. Drew some pictures for my self in crayon, here are the non-crayon notes for posterity.

NOTE the 2 Grooves on the corresponding plug to get orientation correct when looking into the female terminals.
