Oxygen sensors for 93-94 FZJ80's... cant find 24044 ntk (17 Viewers)

I haven't actually installed yet though...when I pulled my connector apart on the inboard sensor, it was full of water....dried it out, put some dielectric grease in there, and all good! 80 is recently new to me and originally an AZ truck that probably saw about 1" of rain a year...went through a torrential downpour driving home 3k miles and started to stumble a bit at idle, but made it home ok with a rich 26? code...

Oh to have an AZ truck. My truck has lived in the NE its whole life, and therefore there is no troubleshooting. My only option is to have a local custom exhaust place cut out and re weld the bungs, but they told me I had to get the sensors because they couldn’t find them. Luckily it’s still running fine.

Actually, after a closer look, i went with the NTK, which I read somewhere was OEM for the 93-94's...here's what I got on Amazon, sorry for any confusion on the Denso version...

Thanks for the replies. I really want to try to stay away from the bosch sensors as I have heard bad things about them with the 93/94.

I have called a few local toyota dealerships and they say they are NLA from Toyota.
I have ran the Bosch for 10 years and not one single O2 code or issue. In fact I recently changed them out to the NTK because I thought they were old and had them sitting in the box for four years. So I was like might as well use them. Installed and guess what. No codes and truck ran exactly the same.
Bosch was even smart enough to make the wiring on the connector longer for one of the sensors.

I always buy Toyota when possible but sometimes there are equivalent products that are just as good. Maybe Bosch should charge more so people will think there better.

BTW they were also contracted out to make the Sieko Brake booster that Toyota sells at dealerships. Not saying they make the O2 sensors for NTK, but there stuff is pretty good.

Yes, I have read that ntk was oem for 93/94 as well. Then they switched to denso for ‘95. The only thing confusing me with the ntk is I have read that the 24080 is the one with the short cable, and it was the 24044 that had the long cable (and could thus be used for both banks). Can anyone confirm this? I’d love to buy the 24080’s you posted from AZ if they will work for both sides with no modification.

As far as the bosch, I’m not saying they are bad, I have no idea. I have only read that on here and my Toyota guy told me not to use them on this truck. I want to go OEM because these lasted this long, and living in Maine, they are expensive to change because they have to be cut out due to the bolts rusting. So I want to make sure I can ‘set it and forget it,’ to the greatest extent possible.

24044 are nowhere to be found.

Buy 2x of 2344520 and be done with it. Inside the DENSO box are NTK OEM Toyota part# 89465-60051. These will be long tails and will work on both sides. Trust me.

I would love to. And I do trust you. I just can’t find them anywhere to buy. Hopefully a couple pop up somewhere.

I recently received 2x 89465-69115 from Serra Toyota in AL for $108 each
@12bit are you sure this will fit our 93-94 LC? I got 1 in my hand Toyota 89564-60051 NTK P10F-5A3 it has shorter wire than the NTK 24044 I have too but I cant verify that 89465-69115 is correct 1994 FZJ80 USA spec.

I installed them up on the exhaust manifold and they fit there fine (plenty of slack in the wiring). OEM, so they are plug and play. The wiring on the sensors is about 10" long.

The NTK 24080's will work for both sides. I bought two of these for my 94 a few months ago from Amazon. The 24080 doesn't include the plastic clip that secures the wire to the body on the outboard sensor but you can just use the clip from the old sensor.

If I remembet correctly 2x of 24044 long pigtail will work both sides. 24080 short pigtail is for 1 side only. Unless you spliced?

89465-69115 is the current part number for the right-hand-side 93-94 sensor. The left-hand side was 89465-69125. That number is discontinued. I do not recall which one had the longer wire lead. If it's the right side (outboard side) then it should work in both positions.

@migz808 they are not available anymore and when and if they resurface again most probably it will not be toyota.
This is my fear. I have been told by a few places the Densos will be back in stock in the next month, but my guess is it’ll be a new production run. There is already another no-name motor king on ebay with the same denso part number and picture.

From all my research since this problem first cropped up with my truck, this is the determination I came to as well.
