The Sawtooths and seeing you float remind me of my 105 mile float in 2013 down the Middle Fork of the Salmon. Best trip of my life. The year I also got my cruiser.

They found one tiny flake, but it must not be that hard to find because there is a sign that says you can only keep 3 flakes and a park ranger looking over everything to make sure.
Interesting history in that area, geologist state that there is tons of gold in the area but the state shut down all gold mining activity in the 70s as the miners were destroying the environment.
