The 70 is now sold.
thanks for looking.

Location is Ontario Canada.
EPA exempt in the US now
DOT exempt in the US in Oct.
I bought this RHD vehicle back in 2006 when it had just 21,000 km (12,600 miles) on it.
This is a link to the original pics, I am using Luxury's site to help advertise it:
Luxury Imports - Calgary, Alberta
I had planned on turning it into a wheeling rig due to the dent beside the fuel filler access door but when it arrived in Canada the dent was MUCH smaller than it looked in the picture and I realized I had a true survivor on my hands. I just couldn't bring myself to modify it.
8 years later and it now has 31,000 km (18,600 mile). It is still in the same condition that it was when it arrived. I installed a brand new factory soft top shortly after I received it off the train. The original ripped at the seams as I removed it to detail the paint.
Here is the thread on Mud about removing and installing the factory top:

Since then the truck has been driven roughly 800 km per year. It has never been driven in the winter. It has never been in an accident. It has not been repainted. It is all original down to the factory split rims (except the radio).
The only fault the truck has is the exhaust is rusted and I have a brand new full factory system being shipped in from Japan.
This is a collectors dream or a builder’s blank canvas to work from.
The last few tanks of fuel has returned 10l/100km (30 mpg imp)
The last tank of fuel 362 km to 32L of fuel, 90 k/h (32 mpg imp or 26.5 mpg US at 55 mph)
I have a RHD PS kit sitting here as well as a RHD AC kit which can be negotiated. turbo/lift/etc etc can be installed at an extra cost.
This is one of five factory soft top SWB 70s in North America and is the lowest mileage and the only full stock condition.
I have no real use for the vehicle and it really should go to a new home in the care of someone that will appreciate the rarity that this vehicle is.
$29,000 CND

This unit is legal for importation to the States now.
I am willing to help with the importation and help with arranging shipping.
cheers

thanks, if it sells it sells ... if not then i will put some km on it next summer. it is now parked for the winter months.
cheers

i should update the mileage, at time of parking the km is just shy of 38,000 km (23,000 miles) ...

I hope the future owner can appreciate what he has. :)

Beautiful truck! Certainly am glad I was lucky enough to go for a "tour" with Crushers and a buddy in it last fall. I am surprised to see it for sale, I just hope whoever buys it sees it the way Crushers does.

Thanks, it is in storage for the winter. I will consider selling again come spring ... unless i end up doing sunny sunday drives with the wife and dogs again.

Feel free to drop it off at my house and I will make sure it is "exerciised" on a regular basis in a snow/salt free enviornment.....no charge!!
We were sunny and 25 degrees (C) today. :)

i am thinking that either set of hands would look after it nicely.

curious, i have a new turbo, still in the box, that i bought for it a couple years back.
do you think it would depreciate or increase the value for resale. remember, it is completely stock (except the radio).

?????

If I could afford it I would say turbo. That being said, I would leave it the way you have it, un-molested. When you do get a buyer, let them start with a cruiser in mint shape and stock. They can do whatever they like after that....or do nothing with it and keep it as stock dd show rig.

My limited $.02.

Leave it stock and offer the turbo as an option to the buyer is what I'd do. This could go to a personal museum in which case no turbo would be preferred or it could be something that someone likes to take there wife in for drives on beautiful sunny days. In that case a turbo would e best.

Forget Georgia. I'm a 15-20min walk from the Gulf of Mexico. Siesta key beach, number 1 in the States... ;)

Edit...all that being said, I hate the beach and flatness of this state!

Florida coast ...... Air saturated with salt ( rust ).

Georgia ....... Air saturated with the sweet smell of pine trees.
.....you decide :D

oooh, pine sap verses bird droppings ... tough decision.

I think it is worth to keep it. Nowadays money depreciate while antique appreciate! :)

I have been telling my wife that for years. She usually walks off mumbling words you wouldn't routinely hear in church. :D
