The door decal says :
Read the owners manual.
Comply with the owners manual.
Don't park your Cruiser in high grass or near other combustible materials. :D
Bottom right .... Company logo and name.

Recommended oil type and oil changing schedule for the turbo.

A reminder to allow the turbo to cool down after running at highway speeds.

Cool.

"remember to let turbo cool down"
so .. for how long?
why didn't Yota put a pyro in as a stock gauge?

It would have been nice.

Has any light vehicle manufacturer done that? I can't think of any.

There may actually be a recommended time on the decal but my interpreter charged by the minutes so I was rushing him. :D
I will go by next week and let him look at it again. :)

It would be interesting to know the thinking behind the "combustible material" warning. Even my Japanese friend admitted that was strange.

There was a time when manufactures warned drivers about the heat associated with a catalytic converter and the fact that they could cause a fire in high grass. Perhaps this is Toyota's idea of a generic warning regardless of engine type. Just a guess.

Lucked out on the metal water line. After removing 1.270cm's from each end the remaining tubing was actually in good shape and after cleaning and adding a coat of POR15 to the exterior and interior, we are good to go. :)

*Note ..... I used centimeters instead of inches because it makes me feel smart.

I sent an email to a gentleman who has a Spanish 70 Series so I will have an answer about the European models in the next day or so.

I own a 1985 BJ73 sold new in Spain.

My truck saw hard service as a tractor and has been repainted so not much in the way of decals remaining.

I emailed Chris to see if any of his European Cruisers had "English" decals.

My HJ75 which doesn't have a winch or turbo only has the one decal.

With the "conventional" "L" transfer shift patten like an FJ60 and no 4WD button.

The 74 has the same pattern as a 62 and the button.

By the way send me that screw in the lower LH corner of the photo so I can clean it up for you....:grinpimp:

Cleaned up and also repainted the fuel filter housing.

That screw has character ..... :)

Anyone know what this part is?
It wasn't hooked up when the engine was removed and it's not hooked up now.
It is however cleaned and highly polished now. :)
