exhaust temp would not make a sticker, you would need a factory pyro installed ... no can do.

In the Japanese catalog I find a reference to a plate that looks very much like the one on the driver's door. It is identified as "PLATE, EXHAUST TEMPERATURE CAUTION", 74517-20020.

Perhaps some version of warning the driver to idle the engine before shut-down after high-load operation?

I await translation.

I really want to try to get all the correct labels for my "resto rod", even if I can't read them.....

I will solve the mystery tomorrow....... :)
My wife is actually Japanese but being a product of South Georgia she only knows about 3 Japanese words. :D

Clint,
Got the last one hung up today. Australia is now fully represented in the garage. :)

I sent an email to a gentleman who has a Spanish 70 Series so I will have an answer about the European models in the next day or so.

Excellent!

I'm pretty sure Shane can take a good high resolution digital photo and dimensions and turn it into a decal.

I believe that should only be present on vehicles with windshield rest blocks. Mine and Charles' do not have rest blocks..

Still a cool decal that Shane should get copied on.

you can still get the factory blocks and hold downs from Toyota ... otherwise, what good is a fold down windshield ... as i often wondered when i owned these 73/74/75 series.

Definitely don't have that decal but then again I can't drop my windshield either.

My research has suggested that only soft-top versions of folding-windshield-equipped variants have windshield blocks on the hood. The same holds true for removable upper door frames. So, the windshield folds but you are not expected to fold it......

In my case, Item #3 .... Remove snorkel ..... needs to be added to the list. :)

i run mine with the factory snorkel AND drop the windshield for tight bush running
this is my red soft top getting ready for wheeling.

Looks good mate, dont forget to relocate the WA plate to the top ;)

ummm, you do have a fold down windshield ... right?

Dont the oem soft tops have a extra hinge on the window wipers. I folded the window on my 75 series and the wipers got in the way.

Clint ......
I posted your truck in an effort to correct my license plate faux pas. :D

yes, the ragtops have the dual bend wipers ... for a simple little truck they shur went the extra mile.
i can see why Toyota did away with the fold down windshield ... very few ever did flop it down.
