The evap core is back in. It was about half as irritating going back in. The expansion valve I had is for a 62 and is different than a fj60, so the old one went back in. View attachment 3450718
New filter drier.

We’ll pull vacuum on the system probably tomorrow and check for leaks before charging.

Look in the boxes with the new parts for the 62 AC amp.

Found three, two wrapped in a small box.

My front pinion bearing is bad, I’m able to move the driveshaft up and down a decent amount, it’s also leaking from the pinion seal. We charged the A/C tonight, the A/C idler pulley is locked up, and when I got home I found that it’s leaking from one of the lines.

And there’s a small exhaust leak that’s driving me nuts. One of my brake lights has gone out twice, so I think the housing may have a bad connection. I grabbed another housing, idler pulley, and A/C lines from the parts stash. We’ll see how much I can resolve tomorrow. Unfortunately I didn’t find a pinion bearing or seal.

Picked up an 80 series full float for $200 today. The differential will go into the front of the 60 to cure the bad pinion bearing. Eventually I’ll swap the axle into the back and do tundra brakes in the front. Averaged 15 mpg pulling the M416 at highway speeds.
