I'm very likely to go 235/85 soon and put these 255 km3 on my 40.

You've researched and thought this out clearly. Totally right on the cost too, I forgot to mention that, but it was a factor for me when I was looking. Please feel free to clog it away, I’d love to see more pictures of Clark.
@johnnyshaner Has 235/85 Geolanders on his 60, which look’s pretty great.
As well as @Ian Crawford with KO2s.
My understanding is also that since BFGs run small a non-BFG 235/85 would probably be a bit taller.
Another thing is that 235/85s are a lot easier to find than a 33x10.50, and they’re less expensive. I believe probably the best tire for these trucks is the 255/85r16. However, those are more expensive, and basically only available in a mud terrain.
There’s also very limited options for the 33x10.50 at this point.
My only slight hesitation is that, as @gimme a 60 point out, it would be a downsize, on paper anyway. But since my KM3 33s only measure 31.5” tall, I don’t think I will really lose height.
Don’t worry. Oil in the engine is normal. It’s when there isn’t oil in the engine that things go badSlammed on a Y-pipe that @HemiAlex sent me tonight, which was apparently on @Kleatus 62 before that. The truck should go to the exhaust shop soon.
There’s oil on the engine. I’ll track down exactly where from later, slightly irritating considering with the amount of time I’ve spent to correct just that.

Adjusted the valves hot, adjusted the rear brakes. The parking brake is working now, brakes may still need some adjustment as the pedal isn’t as firm as I would like, but it stops. View attachment 3439223
Drove it a little distance. It’s extremely loud and sounds awful on just the Y pipe. @Godwin will take it to the exhaust shop later this week. We still need to put the bullbar back on, then I’ll be driving it again. The oil leak is coming from the bottom of the timing cover. I’m not pulling the crank pulley and timing cover over a little oil.
video! Before I take it the exhaust shop I'm going to drive it up the road with the open exhaust and really wring it out. I'm thinking redline in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears.
video!yup, get after it
that's fair, you'll be off the hook for a while thenI'll post a video as soon as you start posting photos.
And still won’t break the speed limit. Before I take it the exhaust shop I'm going to drive it up the road with the open exhaust and really wring it out. I'm thinking redline in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears.
That Y pipe was fabricated in New York, was on my 62 for years and had passed through dozens of states, resided in a few more, and was removed here in Missouri when I did my LS swap. Hopefully the 02 sensors were still intact by the time it made it to you? Quite a circuitous route to end up in AL, via a Texan traveling from... was it Minnesota? who stopped by and left with some parts.Slammed on a Y-pipe that @HemiAlex sent me tonight, which was apparently on @Kleatus 62 before that. I ran them for a long while on my 62. Lots of available types/ brands and all but one I've ever seen was load range E (not a bad thing). They were very close in height to the pathetically sized 33x10.50 BFG's. Wish I could happen upon some 70 series wheels...I've been researching and thinking about tires since my KM3s are pretty worn. The current size on the truck is 33x10.50r15, they measure to about 31.5" tall. My idea is to move to a 16" wheel and most likely go with 235/85r16 (32x9.25") pizza cutters. This would put the tire height about the same as it is now or possibly slightly taller. My dad's 60 runs 2500 RPM at 70 in 5th gear with 4:11s and 255/85r16. I believe with a 235/85 in 5th with 4:11s my 3FE would be spinning at about 2700 RPM at 70. The 235/85r16 in an A/T may lead to slightly better MPGs as well, due to less unsprung weight and a less aggressive tread. Also with a 235 there would be less drag due to the narrower width (as if that matters on a 60). Everyone who runs 235/85r16 seems to really like the size, but can anyone weigh in on it?
