Thanks, wasn’t sure if it would do anything to the wiring or plastics. Looks awesome!

Nah. It’s safe. I like to flush it with water after using it because it leaves a film.

Is that a toyota reman starter?

Part number 28100-60070-84. It's an FJ60 gear Reduction starter. I actually just ordered one 2 nights ago after my OE direct engagement starter was struggling in the cold to start the 40. $60 core on that starter though.

Edit: On second look, might be the Nippon Denso equivalent, but same thing really, just a different box and sticker.

Where did you order it from?

Had to wait around the house a few hours this morning for a guy.

While I was waiting I got the fuel tank pulled and drained and stuck the Redline adapter. Thanks @RLMS for the guidance this morning.

Georg had the shocks drop shipped.

Some D rings for the bumpers.....

Headed out of town for work the next 3 days. I’ve got to get John to call Red and let her know all this stuff coming is for him, not me.

Nice gathering of parts! I need to stop following, I continue to see items I wished I had addressed!!!

The gear reduction is the way to go, ordered a new OEM for my 79' wasn't a gear reduction when arrived, somewhat disappointing. Didn't think about retroing a 60 series starter.

No Toyota Red coolant? Not certain it makes a difference in early ones just what I have in all the later so it keeps extra to a minimum!

Green coolant for relics.......I don’t sweat those things.

I might even let a spoonful of old grease mix with the new grease in the birfs. That’s what kind of rebel I am.

Great progress, my brothers ‘76 was originally a Mustard Yellow and will be returning to its roots👍😊

Do you need to specify what/which "black" powder coat to use for this stuff? If so what is it?

Its not silly wet gloss black just regular ole ....... (I’ll ask)
