That's coming out real nice. Can't wait for you guys to finish her up and get it on the road for some enjoyable times. Hopefully weather is getting nicer and I'll be able to get mine out soon.

Btw, I enjoyed your video on tools and getting started on your own projects. The advice to just get into it and get it started is probably the best advice for this type of thing. I've learned so much from doing my little refresh that I would never have known about my FJ40 if I hadn't just done it all myself. Took some time and some mistakes along the way but what better way to learn. Still a lot to go too.
Now I'm on to my next project, and a project it is going to be, 1991 FJ80.
Thanks for the encouragement!!! Yeah, I am no expert, just trying to inspire others the way I have been encouraged and inspired by so many on this site and on YouTube.

I love the little tag at the end of Roadkill that says, "Get busy living"!!!

Nothing new with the 40, still sanding and working on the body. I hope to finish it and paint it over spring break in two weeks. I will post lots of pics.

I did finally convince the wife to join the Toyota family. Bought a 2012 Sequoia Limited. It was one owner and always serviced at the dealership where it was purchased and traded back into. It was a pretty good find!

Look what followed me home today! I put a wanted add in the FJ55 classified, and one of our fellow members came through!!!! You guys are the best! I just unloaded it at home and will be starting a build thread soon.

Number One priority right now... Finish the FJ40 first :)

A couple more posts here until I get my FJ55 build thread started. Moved it closer to the side of the shop and covered it with a tarp to keep the rain out until I can get a new windshield and the back window to roll up. I took a couple videos of the motor, inside, engine bay and the under carriage. I am going to make a new YouTube vid soon. I also used the spare tire handle crank and turned the motor over a couple times. It seems to move freely so that is a good sign.

A few pics :)

Here are a few with the tarp on it. I may buy a good car cover to make it easy to pull on and off :)

Spent most of the last two days sanding :)

I am getting close to putting some Toyota Sky Blue on this thing. Anyone know the official paint code I need to give the paint guy to mix the correct color?

I taped up some seams and and sealed them with some seam sealer

I painted the bottom and under the dash today. Still need to clear coat. Gonna let it dry overnight and paint the rest of it tomorrow. Hopefully the tub will be going on the chassis for the last time tomorrow afternoon :)

If you were good friends with your neighbor in the red brick house, that is no more

He is one of my best friends and he loves the FJ55. He wants me to find him one. "Best Neighbor Ever!"

You're a lucky guy then for sure. Tell him to come over with  and he can work on your 55 until you find him his own :)

Got the tub painted today! I am pretty pleased with my first paint job. Only one run, but I see that as an opportunity to learn how to fix runs in paint :)
