Bumping this thread to see if anyone ever found/figured out a rebuild kit and/or service. Mine works and I can certainly refinish the body myself (and save the OEM sticker) but I am in the middle of a frame off on my '77 FJ55 and trying to ensure that everything is in great shape both cosmetically and mechanically before reassembly. Looks like our friend City Racer still has the reproduction in stock so I suppose that could be my back up plan if mine fails sometime in the future.
