Get the parts zinc plated. It's cheap and will last a long time. Most industrial places will take my small stuff. They charge by the 5 gallon bucket. Since your looking for durability and not looks get them to do the best coating they have. Zinc cobalt is a good one and you can get it black.

I'm getting ready to walk outside to take a look and take the tarp out so the moisture can dry. Currently sitting on the couch eating a bowl of vanilla ice cream after putting some new parts on the quad.

The e brake is a post summer project. Need to get shoes..
 
Put the spare tire on. I decided that I'm not gonna put the gas tanks on unless I go on a trip. One less thing to steal. Coming up is a series of pictures on the tailgate and dash under sun light
