Roll cage for example came out of powder coat this afternoon so we will pick that up on Monday.

Ian I hope you’ll post a walk around and driving video once she’s done for all of us? What a kick ass 45!

YouTube probably censorse’ me for the music but geez, 1HDFT! May have to down/de-tune it, not sure the H55 can handle 650ftlbs of torque! 😳

Cheers

What is the expected temp drop across the intercooler?

What is the expected temp drop across the intercooler?

100-200+ ?

Let’s find out together in this build! We have used one of the best water to air intercoolers on the planet with a whole bunch of our in house thought and design. Remember the actual radiator and all that for the intercooler is not fitted in a typical fashion!

We build them around EGTs, water temps are never really an issue. So if the intercooler can maintain EGTs where we need them at say 650ftlbs (30psi) great! H55 still probably can’t handle it! Anyways we build them around EGTs and reliability with power increases so follow along and find out!

I put an air to air in front my my 4 core radiator because the R2.8 is so short with the 2F bell housing in the same place it was with the F motors and the 4 speed.
My inter cooler is a lot larger and I may need it being large. I also installed a mechanical 18" fan because I am at the elevation that the R2.8 has issues with elevation and depending on which direction I go I have to climb out of the valley to 8K or 10K feet.

I wont be making the power you are trying to get. 213 hp and 369 lb/ft of torque. It is just a i4 and smaller displacement. But will do better then the V8 diesels did before turbo charging.

Read through the thread if you haven’t, our w/a system has the radiator for that mounted up under the body at the bed to cab, just go back in the thread and look during mock up or wait and see!

Haven’t had the fan shroud in for uhhh, awhile. So I had forgotten we build the hood “kick stand” mount into it.

I remember when Chris who works for me designed this when he built the fan shroud. My immediate reaction like perhaps yours was, “is that strong enough to hold the hood?”, his response was, “oh ya, check it out your self” and sure enough he was-is right. It is that stout!

Cheers
